TNTP
There is a clear and growing need for strong mathematics instruction at all grade levels. To address this need, the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) is partnering with TNTP to offer an online, self-paced course that helps educators apply scientifically based, evidence informed instructional methods to teach math. This course opens with a brief overview of how the brain learns math, grounding future learning in a shared understanding of the ways that knowledge, memory, and skill are developed, stored, and retrieved in the brain. Subsequent modules are rooted in the Standards for Mathematical Practice creating a clear basis for mathematical expertise that teachers should expect and develop in all students. Throughout this course, educators will get the opportunity to dig into the research, its relevance for all K-12 learners, and strategies to support implementation of evidence-informed math practices in their schools and classrooms. This course takes approximately 14 hours to complete and is open to all math educators and those who support students in math, including instructional coaches and leaders. Optional live virtual discourse sessions will also be facilitated to continue learning and application with fellow educators. Thank you for your continued commitment to supporting educator growth and development in order for ALL students in DC to receive a high quality education!

Modern Classrooms
Great teachers meet every student's needs. But it's exhausting. Sometimes it feels impossible. Even the best teachers feel burned out at times. There is a better way. Our team of educators has developed a set of research-backed, classroom-tested practices, that you can use to meet your own students' needs -- starting today. We've put everything we have into this course, and thanks to our generous donors, it's all completely free. You'll find exemplars, templates, tutorials, and more - but no paywalls. You'll enjoy teaching more, help your students learn more, and advance education itself. What are you waiting for?

Collaborative for Student Success
The We’re All Solvers campaign is powered by the Collaborative for Student Success, a nonprofit advocacy organization dedicated to ensuring every student receives a high-quality education. At the Collaborative, we identify and uplift what’s working in education—especially in classrooms where math instruction is accelerating student learning and challenging outdated assumptions about who succeeds in math. We work to dispel limiting beliefs, break down barriers to advanced coursework, and promote access to high-quality instructional materials and teacher support. Through strategic communications, storytelling, and partnerships with educators and advocates across the country, we shine a spotlight on solutions that help all students thrive as problem-solvers—in math class and beyond.

PowerMyLearning
PowerMyLearning is a national nonprofit with over 25 years of experience bringing evidence-based programs to districts across the country. PowerMyLearning’s mission is to empower each student, particularly those from historically marginalized communities, to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally by working hand-in-hand with educators to foster equitable learning environments. PowerMyLearning’s math program integrates the Family Playlists® math practice tool with professional learning, on student math achievement. This program is designed to equip schools with the tools they need to drive equitable math achievement. PowerMyLearning’s math program was associated with significantly better math achievement for K-5 students. Students showed significant improvement across multiple metrics of success on i-Ready, including grade-relative placement, grade-level standards, and raw scores. These gains were equally strong among students in predominantly Black schools, demonstrating PowerMyLearning's ability to effectively support historically marginalized communities. Students who were struggling in math showed the largest gains during PowerMyLearning’s math program, underscoring its potential to close achievement gaps. Students who began the year below grade-level standards improved significantly more than their peers who were already meeting grade-level standards. This suggests that the program is particularly effective in accelerating growth for students most in need.
