About the event
The parade route takes place along South Main Street from 125th (Burrell) to Goldsborough streets at the Tank. Staging for the parade will begin at 8 a.m. Parade participants will stage at Crown Point High School and emergency vehicles will be placed along South Main Street between Burrell Drive and Cleveland Street. Application fee is $50. This year Premier Parade Entries will be available at no charge on a first come first serve basis. Premier Entries must commit to a float selected from the list and must have a detailed decorated float of the theme chosen.

All Parking will be located in the Bus lot. All vehicles in the Main parking lot of the High School must be a part of the Parade.

Health & safety
No alcohol is permitted in the staging area. Anyone driving must have a valid driver's license. Vehicles should maintain a minimum of 2 car lengths between entries. Walkers must walk along the sides and behind their entry vehicle. Children walking in the parade must be accompanied by an adult. Candy should be handed out from walkers and not thrown from vehicles.

Terms & Conditions
Criteria, Rules and Code of Conduct  All entries must incorporate a Fourth of July theme. Each entry must display a banner or signage that signifies the beginning of their procession. Walking marching bands must also incorporate a 4th of July theme in their selections. All entrants will be assigned a number placement for the parade.  Please have your organization’s sign prominently displayed at the beginning of your entry. To prevent crowd injuries, nothing can be thrown, handed or sprayed from any unit in the parade. Entrants are to keep moving along the parade route as much as possible in order to avoid unnecessary gaps. A 1.5 car length is recommended. Only applications received by the deadline will be considered for entry into the parade, no last minute entries.  There will be zero tolerance on the use of alcohol by any participant in the staging area, or during the parade. The parade will commence during rain, snow or shine. Everyone is encouraged to dress appropriately. No foul language should be used over the P.A. systems or in song lyrics. No inappropriate displays, signs, or images will be tolerated. We reserve the right to remove any entry. Entrants with live animals are required to have a containment in place. For example, entrants can bring a honey bucket for their horse. Music volume should be kept low in the staging area prior to the parade. Please respect the residents and their property along the parade route. Please pick up after yourself. City officials, police, or civil defense, reserve the right to remove any parade participant at any time for failure to follow any criteria, rules and code of conduct or unsafe acts. The parade will begin at 11 a.m. on the Fourth of July (July 4, 2026). Staging for the parade will begin at 8:30 a.m.  Parade participants will stage at the Crown Point High School and emergency vehicles will be placed along S Main St. between Burrell Dr. & Cleveland St. The parade route takes place along S. Main St from 125th St. (Burrell) to Goldsborough at the Tank.  All entrants must be in place by 10:30 a.m. Once everyone is in place, we will begin the parade at 11 a.m.  Grandstand will be in front of the East Side of the Old Courthouse. Port-A-Potty’s will be provided.  There will be no access to the school.  New for 2026 Vehicles =2 vehicles per entry! Car, pickup truck, box truck, bus, trolley semi, dump truck etc.  All vehicles must be decorated with some of the following items: Balloons, Streamers, Garland, Flags, Walkers All walkers with an entry must be wearing some type festive clothing, hats, jewelry, glasses etc.  Political Entry = Must have either a decorated vehicle or Walkers wearing 4th of July Festive   attire.   Marching Band – for this year (2026) only we ask that any marching band wear their full   Regalia  Float – Must have a 4th of July Theme with Festive Decorations such as, garland, streamers,   balloons, flags, bunting.
