Compassion at the Crosswalk

Sarasota — our arts community was assaulted. When our crosswalk was painted over, it was more than paint that was erased; it was an attempt to silence visibility, pride, and belonging. We know the pain of being targeted, and we stand with all who carry grief and trauma in these difficult times. As we remember the 49 lives taken at Pulse Nightclub, and honor the families whose wounds have been retriggered, we hold space together — for sorrow, for resilience, for compassion. Join us on October 4 at 6:30 PM as we gather at the crosswalk to stand in solidarity. To remind every family, every survivor, every neighbor: you are not alone.
