Providers and community partners are invited to join us for an affirming and insightful training on the intersection of faith, identity, and religious trauma in LGBTQ+ communities, with a focus on resilient healing and trauma-informed care. Participants will gain insight into: • The impact of religious rejection and faith-based conflict • Identity, grief, belonging, and meaning-making • Trauma-informed and LGBTQ+-affirming care practices • Provider self-awareness in supporting spiritual experiences • Honoring diverse relationships with faith, including leaving, redefining, or maintaining connection The session emphasizes respect, empowerment, and the creation of healing-affirming spaces. Presenter Ray Possen, LCSW, CCTP, EMDR (he/him) Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional Ray specializes in trauma, identity development, and LGBTQ+-affirming care. Drawing from both clinical experience and personal insight, his work supports individuals healing from religious and identity-based trauma through an integrative and compassionate approach, helping clients reclaim safety, authenticity, and connection within themselves, their communities, and their beliefs.
