Clay Special Topics: Surface Design

Join Amy Smoot on February 28 & March 1, 3-5pm for a clay special topics workshop! Learn how to utilize techniques like screen printing, image transfers, vinyl stencils, paper and wax resist to customize the surface of your clay creations! Students will see a demonstration of each technique and will be able to create 2-3 works (depending on size) to apply the techniques they have learned. This class is beginner and intermediate friendly. Day one will be spent learning the techniques and starting on simple forms. Day two will be spent putting the techniques into action on the work created on day one. The instructor will fire and clear glaze all work created in this workshop. Students can expect to pick up work 3-4 weeks after the last day of class. All supplies included in tuition.
