About the event
The City of Oaks Comicbook Odyssey (COCO) is Raleigh’s signature celebration of comic book culture — bringing together fans, creators, and collectors for an unforgettable weekend of creativity, connection, and community. Enjoy meet-and-greets with artists, writers, and special guests, explore a vibrant exhibitor hall filled with comic books, collectibles, and art, and take part in panels, cosplay, and contests that highlight the best of fandom.
Dates: February 20–22, 2026
Location: Sheraton Raleigh Hotel – Downtown Raleigh, NC
Parking: Convenient parking is available at nearby city decks and hotel garages within walking distance. Public transit and rideshare options are also recommended due to limited on-site parking.
Event Protocol:
All attendees must present a valid ticket or badge at check-in.
Bags are subject to inspection for safety.
Costumes are encouraged, but prop weapons must comply with COCO’s safety guidelines.
Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
Please respect guests, staff, and fellow fans — COCO is a family-friendly, inclusive event where comic books come first and everyone is welcome.

COCO brings together comic book shops, professional artists, independent creators, writers, illustrators, and fans for a focused exhibitor experience built around the heart of the industry: the art, the stories, and the people who create them.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for City of Oaks Comicbook Odyssey (COCO). This application helps us learn about your availability, interests, and preferences so that, if selected, we might place you where you’ll best contribute. No experience is necessary. Volunteers ensure a smooth, enjoyable event for everyone. They are essential to the COCO experience.
The 2026 COCO will take place at the Sheraton Hotel, downtown, 421 S Salisbury Street, Raleigh, NC 27601. It runs from Friday February 20th through Sunday February 22nd and volunteers will be needed both during the posted event hours as well as before and after. Shifts vary by date and by assignment. You may apply for as many shifts as you like. You may apply for all three (3) days or specific days. Applicants who commit to two (2) or more shifts may be prioritized both during selection and when scheduling. You must be eighteen (18) or older to fill out this application. Training and real-time guidance will be provided to those selected. Volunteers must adhere to event guidelines and staff instructions at all times.
