About the event

The Cornell Art Museum is calling Painted Ladies of Palm Beach County women artists for “The Art of Her". This multidisciplinary exhibition will celebrate the strength, creativity, complexity, and individuality of women through the lens of art. It will explore how women define themselves and are defined by culture, history, and identity — reclaiming narratives and challenging the boundaries between the personal and the political, the intimate and the universal through their art. At its core, The Art of Her, asks: Who is “she” and how does she express herself in the world through her art? Qualification: Painted Ladies of Palm Beach County member as of November 1, 2025 Submissions are due Friday, December 12, 2025 Notifications to Artists: December 19, 2025 All mediums of artwork are encouraged, including: painting, sculpture, glass, wood, photography, works on paper, installations, digital art and video, crafts textiles and jewelry. Art will be curated and artists notified of acceptance by December 19, 2025

EXHIBITION TIMELINE:

Artwork to be delivered on: Saturday, January 17, 2026 (10 am to 4pm)

Exhibition Opening: Friday, January 23, 2026 (6pm to 8pm)

Exhibition Closing: Sunday, May 3, 2026

Artwork Pick Up: Monday, May 4, 2026 (10am to 2pm)

GENERAL RULES and REGULATIONS:

The Cornell Art Museum is calling members of Painted Ladies of Palm Beach County to apply for "The Art of Her" Exhiition! (Must be a member of Painted Ladies of Palm Beach County before November 1, 2025)

Here are the details:

Curated by Marusca Gatto, Cultural Arts Director, Cornell Art Museum
The exhibition will be Judged by Grace Gdaniec, Program Director at Arts Warehouse in Delray Beach, Florida.
Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place and Honorable Mention.
Exhibition opens January 23 (6pm to 8pm) - Live music and refreshments, meet and greet artists * Exhibition will be installed in the upper galleries of the Cornell and remain on view through May 3, 2026
Special events, art talks and art demonstrations are planned at Cornell Art Museum
Applications must be submitted by DEADLINE December 12, 2025.
Artists may submit three (3) works of art for consideration
Application must include high-resolution images
Maximum size for artwork is 48" wide
Must include sizes of artwork
Must include a brief artist statement
Submissions of artworks in various mediums are encouraged.
Fee of $25 per artist is due at the time of application submittal to help defray costs and help support Cornell Art Museum programming
