The Arts Council asks that all applications be submitted at least 45 days before the event. Applications submitted with less than 45 days may not be approved due to space and security availability.
Once submitted a member of the Community Engagement team will reach out with approval or denial within 2 weeks of submission. Approved requests must include a face-to-face meeting with Arts Council staff.
Please be aware of the following General Requirements:
General Restrictions
· No illegal substances shall be used in the Arts Council building at any time.
· Smoking is not allowed by City and County ordinances anywhere in the Arts Council building, including restrooms, halls and stairways. It is the responsibility of the above Renter to inform guests and caterers of this regulation, as necessary.
· Live animals are prohibited inside the building with the exception of documented service animals.
· All City ordinances, to include noise and sign ordinances, will be enforced.
· No artwork will be moved, rearranged, or removed by the Renter or any guest.
General Requirements
· The Renter is responsible for adherence to all laws and regulations of the North Carolina Alcoholic Beverage Control Commission, including obtaining and display of permit. Proof of all alcoholic beverage permits and proof of liability insurance with the coverage stated above is required and must be presented to the Arts Council at least five (5) business days in advance of the start of the Renter’s event.
· The Arts Council reserves the right to cancel a Renter’s request for use of the building at its sole discretion with appropriate notice to the Renter where possible. The Renter may cancel their event by submitting notice of cancellation in writing at two weeks before the event start date.
· The Renter must provide a credit card on file at the time of request. The card on file will be used to charge the length of the request at the time of event approval.
· The Renter is responsible for cleaning the space after use of the facility. If additional cleaning is required after the Renter’s event, the Renter will incur additional charges.
Non-Discrimination
The Arts Council of Fayetteville/Cumberland County prohibits any Arts Council support (including but not limited to support, grants, festival/event vendor opportunities, use of Arts Council controlled spaces as well as contractor opportunities with the Arts Council) of organizations or individuals engaged in discriminatory or “hateful" activities defined to mean activities that incite or engage in violence, intimidation, harassment, threats, or defamation targeting an individual or group based on their actual or perceived race, color, religion, national origin, ethnicity, immigration status, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, or disability. These activities are contrary to the Arts Council’s mission, core values, and its charitable status.
