As part of the City of Loganville’s Margaritas & Tacos on Main event, the Bring the Heat Jalapeño Eating Contest invites participants to take on a spicy, timed challenge to see who can handle the heat.

Contestants will compete by consuming jalapeño peppers over a three-minute period. During the first minute, participants may eat only one pepper. During the following two minutes, contestants may eat as many peppers as possible, one at a time. Peppers must be eaten down to within ¼ inch of the stem to be counted. The contestant with the highest number of completed peppers at the end of the contest will be declared the winner.

Prizes will be awarded as follows:

1st Place: Medal, City of Loganville sweatshirt, bragging rights, and $50 in local Mexican restaurant gift cards
2nd Place: Medal and $25 in local restaurant gift cards
3rd Place: Medal

Participation is free of charge and open to individuals 18 years of age or older. All participants must register in advance and agree to the contest rules and waiver.

This competition is designed to be a fun and engaging addition to the event; however, participants should be aware of the physical effects of consuming spicy foods and enter at their own discretion.
