Mindfulness and meditation have been used to increase well being as spiritual practices for thousands of years. Recently western science has proven that these tools can be useful regardless of background or religion. Come begin your journey, learn the basics of mindfulness and meditation, and receive recorded guided meditations to continue your practice at home. Brittany is a certified life coach, holds a master's of divinity with a focus on education and spiritual guidance, and has been practicing meditation for over twenty years.
In this workshop we will learn about the history of mindfulness and meditation. We will practice two forms of mindfulness and four different types of meditation. Then we will explore how to add mindfulness and meditation into your daily life.
Light refreshments will be served. Wear comfortable clothes.

We are meeting in Room 17 of the Tucker Rec Center. The Rec Center has plenty of parking. You can park in the lot along the side of the building or in the lot behind the building.
Once you have parked, simply enter through the main doors and let the attendant at the information desk know you are here for Beginner Mindfulness and Meditation. They will direct you to Room 17.
