Join us for Mandalas of Transition—an immersive art therapy workshop open to anyone interested in the arts as a tool for healing, with CEs provided for art therapists and mental health professionals. In this session, you’ll create a series of personalized mandalas that visually trace your transformational journey—moving from chaos to center, change to harmony. Participants will gain insight into transition-based mindfulness and resilience and earn 3 CE credits at the close of the workshop, led by Board Certified Registered Art Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor- Heidi Tournoux-Hanshaw

Join us for Phoenix Rising: From Ashes to Art. During this three-hour session, you’ll explore themes of resilience and renewal through creative expression, guided by art therapy interventions proven to foster healing and transformation. Attendees can earn 3 CE credits, while all participants will create meaningful artwork to symbolize rebirth and growth after crisis. Led by Board Certified Registered Art Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor- Heidi Tournoux-Hanshaw.

Discover the beauty in flaws at Found Object Transformation: Perfectly-Imperfect Creations for Exploring Cultural Appreciation vs Cultural Appropriation on Saturday, November 15, from 9 am-noon at the Wallace Hall Art House. In this 3-hour workshop open to artists and Texas-licensed therapists, participants will study and embrace the Japanese philosophy of Wabi-Sabi by transforming discarded objects into meaningful art. Through guided collage and sculptural processes, you’ll learn to honor imperfection and impermanence—turning what’s broken into something resilient and whole- while discussing the need for cultural competency in a world where we may not be aware that we are appropriating. 3 CE credits are awarded at the session’s close. INCLUDES CULTURAL COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS FOR CE SEEKING LPCs! Most items will be provided, but artist participants may wish to bring additional objects from their home collection, including any broken or damaged semi-sentimental objects that may be a source of inspiration.

Traditionally, December is a time for family, and in this art therapy workshop, participants will be guided through a process that will help us define and create a map of the points in our lives that have changed who we are today. On Saturday, December 13, from 9 AM to 12 PM, join Heidi Tournoux Studios for Lifeline Collage Mapping, an art therapy workshop open to artists and Texas-based therapists. Using collage techniques, participants will craft a personal visual timeline that highlights moments of growth, challenge, and transformation. This guided process promotes narrative exploration, resilience-building, and emotional integration. Attendees will receive 3 CE credits, woven seamlessly into a creative and reflective session.
