4-Week Acrylic Class (April 1, 8,15,22)
Wednesdays at 1:00 PM
Make-up classes available on Thursdays
In this four-week acrylic painting class, students will study the impressionist techniques of Claude Monet, focusing on light, color, and atmosphere. Emphasis will be placed on painting the effect of light rather than fine detail, using broken color and loose brushwork.
During the first two weeks, students will reproduce a Monet-inspired work to understand his approach to color and light. In the final weeks, students will create an original painting using impressionist techniques, focusing on mood, movement, and time of day.
This class is perfect for artists ready to loosen up and explore color in a new way.
