2026 Alpharetta Moonlight Market — Event Description Returning for 2026, the Alpharetta Moonlight Market is a curated handcrafted fine art and fine craft street market held on select Friday nights from May through September in the vibrant Downtown Alpharetta City Center retail district, alongside the On the Green Summer Concert Series. The market takes place along the streets of downtown Alpharetta and offers a lively evening shopping experience featuring original, handmade work by local and regional artists and makers. Proof that all work is handcrafted is required as part of the application process. Market Hours: 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM Beginning at 6:00 PM and running through 10:00 PM, the On the Green Concert Series features live local musical talent booked through the Alpharetta Rotary Club, drawing strong evening crowds throughout the event. The Alpharetta Moonlight Market also features: • A dedicated Kids Zone • A special discounted booth-rate area located on a side street • For 2026, limited acceptance of select pre-packaged, quick-serve food items ⸻ Important Application, Eligibility & Participation Information • Applicants must apply per individual event date. Acceptance for one market date does not guarantee acceptance for other dates. Acceptance is based on availability by category for each individual market. • Certain categories are heavily limited, including (but not limited to): handcrafted jewelry, handcrafted candles, and handmade crochet items. • Musicians may not apply to participate in the Alpharetta Moonlight Market. Musicians interested in performing must contact the Alpharetta Rotary Club directly. • Hot food service vendors may not apply. Food trucks are not permitted at this event. ⸻ Load-In, Setup & Booth Operations • Vehicles with trailers will be scheduled first for load-in, beginning as early as 12:00 PM, and will be scheduled last for pack-up and load-out. • General vendor load-in is a scheduled process beginning at 2:00 PM and ending at 4:00 PM. • All booths must be fully set up and open for business by 5:00 PM. • Booth locations are pre-assigned in advance of each market. • Vendors will receive final market information on the Tuesday morning prior to each Friday market date. ⸻ Booth Fees • Main Market Area: $75 per event (plus 3% processing fee & 7% sales tax) • Discounted Booth Zone: $25 per event (plus fee and tax) -off main thoroughfare -space permitting • Kids Zone: $25 booth space (plus fee and tax) -space permitting Applicants must select which booth area they are applying for in the Booth Space Selection section at the bottom of the application. ⸻ Insurance Requirements Insurance is required for vendors selling: • Skincare • Soaps • Quick-serve, individually wrapped food or beverage items Vendors applying in these categories must upload a current Certificate of Insurance (COI) with each application submitted. ⸻ Handcrafted Proof & Required Photo Uploads All applicants must provide proof that their art or products are handcrafted locally by the applicant and only the applicant. Required photo uploads include: 1. Photos of the tools used to create the work 2. Photos of raw materials used in production 3. A photo of the applicant’s home studio or workspace Because the Alpharetta Moonlight Market is a nighttime event, applicants must also upload a nighttime booth display photo showing how their booth will be illuminated using LED lighting. • The City of Alpharetta provides free electrical hookups. • Vendors must supply their own in-booth lighting and a minimum of 125 feet of outdoor, weatherproof, rated extension cords to reach the nearest city-provided outlets. • The nighttime booth photo does not need to show all artwork or products, but it must clearly demonstrate that the booth will be brightly and safely lit after dark. This is a safety requirement. If the nighttime booth photo does not show the full booth display, applicants must upload an additional outdoor booth display photo that clearly shows: • A white tent canopy • The required minimum 40-pound professional tent weights per leg • An example of how artwork or products will be displayed at the event This additional booth photo is only required if the nighttime booth image does not show the full outdoor booth setup.

All vendors are requested to have hand sanitizer available to customers. Quick serve individually wrapped food product vendors are required to have hand sanitizer on site and samples must be individual pre portioned and must follow Fulton County Georgia food service health safety standards.

Thank you for your interest in participating in the Alpharetta Moonlight Market, a curated, handcrafted evening market held in partnership with the City of Alpharetta and in conjunction with the On the Green Summer Concert Series. All applications are carefully reviewed to ensure originality, presentation quality, and compliance with event and city requirements.

 


You are applying for the specific event date listed at the top of this application. The Alpharetta Moonlight Market will be held on 10 individual Friday dates in 2026, and separate applications are required for each date you wish to participate in.

A photo of your booth set up after dark, clearly showing that it is properly and attractively lit using LED lighting. Because this is a nighttime event, adequate booth lighting is required.

 


• Proof of Handcrafted Work

Photos demonstrating that you personally create the work being sold, such as tools in use or work-in-progress images.

 


• Raw Materials Photo

A photo showing the raw materials used to create your products.

 


• Home Workspace or Studio Photo

A photo of your home studio, workshop, or dedicated workspace where your work is made.

Insurance Requirements (Certain Categories)

 

 

 

Applicants in the following categories must upload, in the photo upload section, a current Certificate of Insurance (COI) with their application:

The COI must meet the coverage requirements outlined in the Terms & Conditions below and list the event organizer and the City of Alpharetta as Additionally Insured.

2026 Alpharetta Moonlight Market Terms & Conditions By submitting an application to participate in the Alpharetta Moonlight Market, the applicant (“Vendor”) agrees to comply with all rules, regulations, and requirements set forth by the event organizers and the City of Alpharetta. These Terms & Conditions are made part of the application and participation agreement by reference. ⸻ 1. Application Review & Acceptance All applications are reviewed on a per-event-date basis. Acceptance for one market date does not guarantee acceptance for additional dates. Acceptance is based on availability by category for each individual market. Certain categories are heavily limited, including (but not limited to) handcrafted jewelry, handcrafted candles, and handcrafted fiber art (wearable and non-wearable) The Alpharetta Moonlight Market reserves the right to limit the number of vendors within any category to maintain balance and quality. All acceptance decisions are final and may not be appealed. ⸻ 2. Handcrafted Requirement This is a handcrafted fine art and fine craft market. All products must be handmade locally by the applicant and only the applicant. Wholesale, resale, mass-produced, or factory-made items are strictly prohibited. Vendors must submit required photos showing: Tools used to create the work Raw materials used in production Home studio or workspace Misrepresentation of products or process is grounds for immediate removal without refund. ⸻ 3. Booth Fees & Payment Main Market Area: $75 per event (plus Eventeny 3% processing fee and Sales Tax of 7%) Discounted Booth Zone: $25 per event (plus fees) This discounted section is along the west side of Market Street, off the main thoroughfare (space permitting) Vendors must select their desired booth zone in the Booth Space Selection section of the application. If the discounted zone is already fully booked for your market date you will be notified if there is availability in the full priced zone before being charged. Booth fees are non-refundable and non-transferable, including in cases of weather, personal emergencies, or event cancellation. ⸻ 4. Insurance Requirements Insurance is required for vendors selling: Skincare products Soaps Quick-serve, individually wrapped food or non-alcoholic beverage items Vendors in these categories must upload (an image of the document in the photos upload section below) a current Certificate of Insurance (COI) with each application submitted. Failure to provide valid insurance will result in disqualification. The COI must list the event organizer, 1st & Main Events and City of Alpharetta as Additionally Insured.  The policy limits must be for the standard $1M individual occurrence and $1M aggregate.  The address listed on the COI must be for 1st & Main Events business address.  5227A West Ellis Road  Griffin GA 30223  ⸻ 5. Food & Beverage Restrictions Hot food service vendors may not apply. Food trucks are not permitted. Only select pre-packaged, quick-serve food items will be considered, in limited numbers. Only pre-mixed non-alcoholic beverage vendors serving products in plastic cups with lids and straws or in aluminum cans will be considered Food & Beverage Vendor Documentation Requirements Vendors selling quick-serve, individually wrapped food or non-alcoholic beverages are required to upload the following documentation with their application (Please upload images of all required documents using the available photo upload slots in the section below.)  Applications that do not include all required documentation will not be reviewed or approved. Required Documentation • Certificate of Insurance (COI) A current and valid Certificate of Insurance showing general liability coverage. The COI must list the event organizer and the City of Alpharetta as Additionally Insured at the required coverage levels listed in the section above.  • Health Department or Cottage Food Documentation Vendors must upload one of the following, as applicable: A valid Georgia Cottage Food License or county-issued Cottage Food Certificate A current County Health Department Permit or documentation showing production in an approved commercial kitchen Vendors must comply with all applicable Fulton County Environmental Health regulations while onsite. • Product Label Photos Photos of product labels as sold, clearly showing the product name, business name, ingredient list, and allergen disclosures (when applicable). Beverage-Specific Requirements • Only approved non-alcoholic beverages may be sold • Beverages may be served only in plastic cups with lids and straws or aluminum cans • No open-air beverage preparation or on-site mixing is permitted unless approved by the County Health Department • Alcohol sales are strictly prohibited Trash & Sanitation Requirements • Food vendors must provide their own trash can(s) in front of their booth • Vendors are responsible for keeping their booth area clean throughout the event • All trash must be removed and disposed of in the city-provided dumpster located next to City Hall Failure to comply with these requirements may result in removal from the event without refund and/or disqualification from future Alpharetta Moonlight Market events. Special note: Musicians may not apply to the Alpharetta Moonlight Market. Musicians interested in performing must contact the Alpharetta Rotary Club directly. ⸻ 6. Booth Setup & Presentation Vendors are responsible for supplying all booth materials. Booths must include: A white 10’ x 10’ canopy tent A minimum of 40 pounds of professional weight per tent leg A clean, safe, and professional presentation Booth locations are pre-assigned and may not be changed. The Alpharetta Moonlight Market will be held on the city streets in the City Center Retail District in downtown Alpharetta Georgia Booth spaces are 11 feet wide and 10 feet deep.  ⸻ 7. Nighttime Lighting & Electrical This is a nighttime event; adequate lighting is mandatory. Vendors must provide: In-booth LED lighting A minimum of 125 feet of outdoor-rated, weatherproof extension cords The City of Alpharetta provides free electrical hookups. Applicants must submit a nighttime booth photo demonstrating safe and bright illumination. This requirement is enforced as a public safety measure. ⸻ 8. Event Hours, Load-In & Load-Out Market Hours Market hours are 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM. Load-In General vendor load-in runs from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Vehicles with trailers will be scheduled first for load-in (as early as 12:00 PM). All booths must be fully set up and open for business by 5:00 PM. Vendors must follow the assigned load-in procedures provided by market staff. Breakdown & Load-Out Early breakdown is not permitted without prior approval. Vendors may not begin breakdown until the market officially closes. All booths must be fully cleared from the street by 11:30 PM. Vehicle Reentry Procedures Vehicle reentry is police-controlled and strictly enforced. Vehicles may not reenter the street until authorized. Booths must be fully broken down and moved to the sidewalk behind the booth space before requesting reentry. Vendors must receive a site inspection from market staff. A color-coded reentry slip must be presented to police to regain vehicle access. Traffic & Parking Restrictions Vehicles may not stop or park in the center of the roadway at any time. Vehicles must pull fully into assigned booth spaces and remain close to the curb. Blocking traffic lanes, emergency routes, or neighboring booths is strictly prohibited. Vendor Parking is located offsite one block north of the market on NorthMain Street behind the First United Methodist Church of Alpharetta.   Failure to comply with the rules regarding loading in and loading out and vendor parkingmay result in removal from the event and/or disqualification from future markets. ⸻ 9. Site Cleanliness & Trash Removal Vendors are responsible for leaving their area cleaner than it was found. All trash, debris, and packaging must be removed from booth areas. Vendors must dispose of all trash in the city-provided dumpster located next to City Hall. Dumping trash on sidewalks, streets, or in public receptacles is prohibited. ⸻ 10. Event Information & Communication Final market details will be emailed on the Tuesday morning prior to each Friday market. Vendors are responsible for reviewing all communications. Failure to read instructions does not excuse non-compliance. ⸻ 11. Weather & Force Majeure The Alpharetta Moonlight Market is held rain or shine. No refunds or credits will be issued due to weather, natural disasters, government action, or public safety decisions. Vendors participate at their own risk and must prepare for changing conditions. ⸻ 12. Liability & Indemnification Vendors participate at their own risk. The City of Alpharetta, event organizers, volunteers, sponsors, and affiliates are not responsible for loss, theft, or damage. Vendors agree to indemnify and hold harmless the City of Alpharetta and event organizers from any claims arising from participation. ⸻ 13. Right to Refuse or Remove Event organizers reserve the right to refuse participation or remove vendors for non-compliance. Removal may occur without refund.
