About the event
Join us on Wednesday, July 9 for Lead the Change, a powerful day of connection, collaboration, and capacity-building between Baltimore’s boldest community advocates and the Mandela Washington Fellows—22 emerging leaders from across the African continent who are working to transform lives in their own countries. This convening will celebrate Baltimore’s legacy of grassroots leadership while equipping participants with the tools, strategies, and wisdom to fuel their own movements for impact. Through storytelling, skill-sharing, and intentional dialogue, Lead the Change will provide a platform for: Uplifting the work of Baltimore-based advocates and non-profit organizations, organizers, educators, and entrepreneurs. Equipping participants with resources and actionable tools in areas such as volunteer management, community organizing, program sustainability, policy, and storytelling for change. Facilitating knowledge exchange and seeding long-term global partnerships This is more than a day of learning—it’s an invitation to build together across borders, amplify our collective brilliance, and lead the change we want to see. Join us for a special networking session from 4-6 p.m.
