The Coeur d’Alene Downtown Association is pleased to announce the 33rd Annual Lighting Ceremony Parade, presented by Idaho Central Credit Union, on November 28, 2025. Watch the parade entries light up Sherman Avenue and bring the Holiday Spirit to Downtown CDA with this year's parade theme - "Candy Cane Lane" with marching bands, dancing, music, and festive floats!

PARADE THEME
Candy Cane Lane - a sweet, candy-themed parade full of peppermint stripes, gumdrop floats, and gingerbread houses. Transform your entry into a magical winter wonderland where candy comes to life! Think peppermint forests, gumdrop mountains, and gingerbread villages—all brought to life with dazzling floats, costumes, and music. Use bright colors, festive ribbons, and plenty of lights to create a magical atmosphere. Decorate floats with giant gingerbread houses and gingerbread people, oversized candy canes, lollipops, and peppermint swirls adorned with vibrant red and white stripes!
PARADE ROUTE
The route begins at the intersection of Sherman Avenue and 8th Street. The parade continues down Sherman Avenue until it ends at Government Way.

ACCEPTANCE & NOTIFICATION
- You will be notified of your unit's acceptance into the parade no later than Monday, November 17th, 2025, depending on when you submit your application.
- The main contact listed on this application is responsible for ensuring that their entire unit is made aware of all parade information.
- We highly encourage themed floats, vehicle decor, etc. Floats must be 50% covered in lights.
REGISTRATION FEES
- Marine, Police, Fire, etc.: FREE
(Entries include organizations directly related to and acknowledged by the U.S. Pentagon. This consists of any branch of the military, government, etc.) - Non-Commercial Units (Nonprofits, Community Groups): $70
(Entries include public service organizations, churches, and groups that support or promote certain hobbies, activities, and events such as Scouts, Local theatre groups, and all non-profit organizations.) - Commercial Units (Businesses and Corporations): $100
(This category applies to a vehicle(s) or floats promoting any business, product, or enterprise. Examples; include coffee stands and towing companies.)
VEHICLES:
Drivers of all vehicles in the parade and those entering the parade line-up area must have a valid driver’s license, have proper proof of insurance as required by state law, and be at least 18 years old.
