2026 King and Queen Competition

Important Information

• Application Deadline: 11:59 pm, Saturday February 28, 2026. Applications received after this date will not be accepted.
• Each contestant must submit one (1) color digital photo (jpg file) and a link to a 1- minute video performance sample by the application deadline. Video sample may be from a previously filmed performance or created specifically for this competition. Please send photos and videos to marisol@carnavalsf.org. We will use this footage along with the application to approve contestants’ participation in the competition. Once participation is approved, we will also use the submitted media to announce the contestants and promote the competition via Carnaval San Francisco’s website and social media sites.
• Applicants will be contacted by email upon receipt of their completed entry form and signed release form. We will contact all contestants beginning March 10, 2025.
• All applications will be reviewed by an unbiased panel. Applicants will be invited to participate in the competition after approval. All approved contestants will be offered support consultation from Carnaval San Francisco staff to develop their best possible performance.
• Where the Carnaval King & Queen appears in the Grand Parade may be discussed. You may still parade with your contingent if you are crowned.
