2026 CCBA TOURNAMENT RULES
1. Anglers not required to check-out in person; Check-out is honor system. No Lines in the water until 6am on Saturday, April 25th. Tournament ends Sunday, April 26th at 3pm.
2. Fish eligible for weigh in must be of legal, Florida Saltwater Fishing regulations and local fishing regulations apply and will be strictly enforced. It is the angler's responsibility to abide by Florida bag limits. Slam Stringer: Redfish, Trout, Snook (total combined weight, 1 each).
3. Eligible fish must be weighed in between 3pm and 4pm on Saturday, or 2pm to 3pm on Sunday.
4. In the case of a jam up at the weigh in station - we will issue you a tag at the dock or in parking lot at MacRae's/The Shed. You/Your boat MUST be visually confirmed by committee person no later than 3pm on Sunday to receive tag. No exceptions!
5. Scales will be set up at MacRae's/The Shed under tent and will have the official tournament banner and weigh in board displayed.
6. NO ONE is allowed in the weigh in station except tournament officials and the angler weighing in the eligible fish.
7. All eligible fish determined by weight first and in case of tie, by time of weighed in. In the category of redfish most spots, a tie will be determined by time weighed in.
8. IGFA (International Game Fish Association) rules apply for all World Record competition.
9. All fish must be caught during tournament hours and within the boundaries of the Levy/Dixie County line (north) and the Hernando/Pasco County Line (south) and must be within the waters of the Gulf of Mexico and its Tributaries.
10. All fish from the shore, dock or the boat(s) they have registered.
11. Anglers must fish from the shore, dock or the boast(s)
12. Weather: RAIN OR SHINE, all anglers fish at their own discretion and accept full responsibility for their crew and boat.
13. Fishing either day or partial day will constitute a tournament. Refunds or rollovers of entries, for cancellations received after March 31, 2026, are subject to approval by the committe on a case-by-case basis. Any cancellation or postponement of event, by the committee, will result in automatic refunds or rollover to next event, angler preference.
14. Cash prizes are based on 150 paid boat entries. Entries will be capped at 200 boats
15. Awards will be presented at MacRae's of Homosassa on April 26 at 4pm once final weights have been dtermined, potests/complaints and winning fish necropsies have been completed and reviewed.
16. No Angler shall win more than one place award per category.
17. Angler must present CCBA entry number AND choose category for fish PRIOR TO entering weigh-station.
18. All winners may be subject to a polygraph test. The committee may conduct polygraph on any qualified entry (species).
19. Fraud complaints/protests must be submitted in writing, by a registered tournament angler, eligible for prize money, with a $300 CASH bond to the tournament committee no later than time that final weights are posted on the official weigh in board on sunday, April 26, 2026. If a fraud complaint is received with bond, prize for that slot will be withheld and polygraph scheduled for earliest possible date/time. If offense is confirmed, bond will be returned to complainant and prize will be issued to next eligible to the original winner.
20. All captains and anglers registered to the CBA Annual Family Fishing Tournament must abide by current FWC Rules. Captain accepts full responsibility for the conduct and safety of any participant on their vessel and holds CCBA and MacRae's of Homosassa and any of their affiliated sponsors, employees, officers and directors, and volunteers harmless from any liability and all losses costsm damages, and/or expenses. All participants also agree to allow CCBA to use their name and likeness in any Sponsorship or Promotional Materials.
21. ANY AND ALL updates and/or changes to the tournament due to the inclement weather or emergency circumstances will be posted on the CCBA Family Fishing Tournament Facebook page.
22. 2026 Tournament rules are final and subject to change at the discretion of the CCBA Fishing Tournament Committee.
23. All weighed fish will be returned to anglers upon request, at the end of the awards presentation.
