It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to the 48th Annual Carnaval San Francisco Festival to be held on Saturday, May 23 - Sunday, May 24, 2026 along Harrison Street, between 16th & 24th Streets in the heart of the Mission District.  Carnaval San Francisco is a celebration of music, dance, artistry, food, arts and crafts showcasing Latin and Caribbean culture. With annual attendance of well over 500,000, this two-day outdoor cultural Festival and Grand Parade is the largest multi-cultural celebration on the West Coast. The festival takes place on Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm. The parade starts on Sunday at 10:00 am. Event Dates: Saturday, May 23 & Sunday, May 24, 2026 Event Time: 11:00 am - 6:00 pm (both days) Volunteer Shifts: Vary depending on volunteer position Volunteer Perks * Free lunch provided to all volunteers * Carnaval SF volunteer t-shirt (for those who signed up before the orientation) Mandatory Volunteer Orientation All volunteers must attend one of the following orientation options: * In-Person Orientation: Saturday, May 16 | 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM * Online Orientation: Tuesday, May 19 | 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM We strongly encourage attending the in-person orientation for the best experience and walk-through. If you cannot attend in person, you must attend the online option. In the application, you’ll be asked to select your preferred orientation.
