Rock the Marina is a business promotional activation that was created to spotlight and bring exposure to the businesses, restaurants, and commercial marine tenants located at the Boynton Harbor Marina. The lively event has two primary functions – promote the businesses at the marina and bring awareness to various environmental and marine conservation efforts.
The Rock the Marina promotional activation is a fun, family-friendly event where patrons can spend an afternoon by the waterfront, enjoying live music and entertainment while learning about various conservation and sustainability initiatives taking place in Boynton Beach and in Palm Beach County.

EVENT DETAILS & REGISTRATION:
- Date: Saturday, June 7, 2025
- Time: 8:30 AM - 2:30 PM; Divers must arrive at 8:00 AM to board the dive charters.
- Location: Boynton Harbor Marina -735 Casa Loma Blvd., Boynton Beach, FL 33435
- Registration Fee: $75 per person. Includes a 3-tank dive on one of the participating commercial dive charters: Starfish Scuba and South Florida Diving Headquarters.
- This is a special rate that is being offered specifically for the Lionfish Derby.
- Space is limited and will be offered on a first come first serve basis.
- All diving and lionfish hunting equipment must be rented or purchased separately.
- Breakfast: The registration fee includes a gourmet breakfast sandwich and coffee or juice from Marina Café on the morning of the Derby.
- Requirements:
- Divers must register in 2-person teams.
- Registration forms will not be accepted unless two divers are listed.
- Nitrox certification required to dive on Starfish Scuba. Nitrox certification recommended to dive on South Florida Diving Headquarters.
- Collection of Lionfish – All participants must supply their own cooler or bag to store lionfish.

· Time: 6:00 PM
· Location: Boynton Harbor Marina – Dockmaster Building
PRIZES & AWARD CEREMONY*:
· Prize categories: Most lionfish, largest lionfish, and smallest lionfish
· Award Ceremony: June 7th at 3:30 PM at the Boynton Harbor Marina.
*City and CRA Staff, Commissioners and Board Members may participate in the Derby; however, they are not eligible to receive gifts or prizes.
