2025 Rock the Marina

EVENT DETAILS & REGISTRATION:

• Date: Saturday, June 7, 2025  
• Time: 8:30 AM - 2:30 PM; Divers must arrive at 8:00 AM to board the dive charters.
• Location: Boynton Harbor Marina -735 Casa Loma Blvd., Boynton Beach, FL 33435
• Registration Fee: $75 per person. Includes a 3-tank dive on one of the participating commercial dive charters: Starfish Scuba and South Florida Diving Headquarters. 
  • This is a special rate that is being offered specifically for the Lionfish Derby. 
  • Space is limited and will be offered on a first come first serve basis.
  • All diving and lionfish hunting equipment must be rented or purchased separately. 
• Breakfast: The registration fee includes a gourmet breakfast sandwich and coffee or juice from Marina Café on the morning of the Derby.
• Requirements:
  • Divers must register in 2-person teams. 
  • Registration forms will not be accepted unless two divers are listed. 
  • Nitrox certification required to dive on Starfish Scuba. Nitrox certification recommended to dive on South Florida Diving Headquarters.
• Collection of Lionfish – All participants must supply their own cooler or bag to store lionfish.

 MANDATORY DIVERS’ MEETING:

·         Date: Thursday, June 5, 2025

·         Time: 6:00 PM

·         Location: Boynton Harbor Marina – Dockmaster Building

PRIZES & AWARD CEREMONY*:

·         Prize categories: Most lionfish, largest lionfish, and smallest lionfish

·         Award Ceremony: June 7th at 3:30 PM at the Boynton Harbor Marina.

*City and CRA Staff, Commissioners and Board Members may participate in the Derby; however, they are not eligible to receive gifts or prizes.

• Time: 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM – Please see additional information below. Participants must arrive by 12:30 PM to pick-up their gourmet sandwich and board the fishing charters.
• Location: Boynton Harbor Marina -735 Casa Loma Blvd., Boynton Beach, FL 33435
• Vessel: Sea Mist III
• Registration Fee:
  • $30 per person for a 4-hour fishing trip 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

• Space is limited and will be offered on a first come first serve basis.
• Up to 4 seats can be booked per transaction.
• The registration fee includes all fishing equipment: rod, reel, bait, tackle, license, and a lunch meal from Marina Café on the day of the Fishing Extravaganza.
• This is a special rate that is being offered by the BBCRA specifically for the Fishing Extravaganza.
• Gratuity for the fishing charter crew is not included.  
• Participants are permitted to bring their own food and drink on the vessel.

• Vessels: Frigate About It Charters, Fish Envy Charters, Reel Rival Charters
• Registration Fee:
  • $60 per person for a 6-hour fishing trip 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM.

• Space is limited and will be offered on a first come first serve basis.
• Up to 2 seats can be booked per transaction.
• The registration fee includes all fishing equipment: rod, reel, bait, tackle, license, and a gourmet breakfast sandwich and coffee or juice from Marina Café on the morning of the fishing extravaganza.
