2025 Holiday Happenings

We are now accepting applications for performers to bring festive cheer every Wednesday and Thursday from November 28 through Christmas Eve (Wednesday, December 24) at the Christkindl Market!

We're looking for talented musicians, choirs, dancers, carolers, and entertainers of all kinds to help create a magical holiday atmosphere for marketgoers of all ages.

Performances will take place at the Lawrenceville Lawn, offering artists a chance to engage with a joyful, family-friendly audience in a warm and welcoming holiday setting.

 
Performance Details:
Dates: Wednesdays & Thursdays | 5 PM – 8 PM | November 28 – December 24
Location: Lawrenceville Lawn
Set Lengths: Vary by performer and will be coordinated after selection
Sound/AV: Light sound and AV support will be provided.
If additional equipment is needed, it must be dropped off and walked in (details arranged upon acceptance).
 
Please Note: This is a volunteer opportunity. While this is not a paid performance, it’s a great opportunity for school groups, choirs, dance troupes, and community ensembles looking for a festive venue with provided sound and a built-in audience.

Whether you're a solo act, a community group, or a professional ensemble, we invite you to share your holiday spirit and be part of this cherished seasonal tradition.

This is not an official booking. We will reach out to selected performers to confirm participation and finalize details.

We're inviting businesses within our Entertainment District in the Downtown Lawrenceville—including shops, restaurants, galleries, and venues—to host festive Holiday Happenings inside their spaces during the week of November 27 – December 6. These in-store events should be free to the public and help create a warm, welcoming holiday atmosphere throughout the DTL.

Only one approved Holiday Happening per day will be featured on our official Holiday Happenings event graphic, selected at the discretion of the events and marketing teams.

All other approved events will still be included on our tourism website event calendar, so even if your event is not selected as a featured happening, we still welcome and encourage you to participate!

Examples of Holiday Happenings:

• Live acoustic music or carolers
• DIY craft or ornament-making workshops
• Holiday treat tastings or cocoa bars
• Storytime or kid-friendly activities
• Artist showcases or festive pop-ups
• Santa visits or photo opportunities

Holiday Happenings Criteria:

• Must take place between November 27 – December 6
• Must be free and open to the public
• Hosted inside your downtown business location
• Managed by you and your team
• One featured event per day will receive special promotion on our Holiday Happenings event graphic
• Participation can be first come, first served
• If you have a great idea that needs additional support, let us know in the last question on the application

Want to host a different type of holiday event?

If your event is outside the November 27–December 6 window, is not free, or you’d prefer to host your own holiday pop-up, concert, workshop, or gathering, we’d still love to help promote it!
