Join us for a day of temporary public art making where children through adults, as well as local artists, are invited to draw chalk masterpieces on the sidewalks around the Downtown Core.
Feel free to create a masterpiece that inspires and spreads joy. Keep the content appropriate and avoid any imagery or words that could be considered offensive or inappropriate.
Leave only your artwork behind!
Make sure to only leave behind the art and clean everything else up before you leave.
Stay Aware & Be Courteous!
Stay aware of your surroundings. We planned the event squares in locations where there is additional sidewalk space for pedestrian traffic to move without crossing over you but use your judgment if a situation arises where you need to move! The city has a law that prohibits the use of chalk on their sidewalks but we, the Downtown Billings Association, did get the green light from the City of Billings, Engineering Division.
Thanks for being part of creating enjoyable temporary art on the streets of downtown.
