About the event

The 5th Annual Pickles, Pigs & Swigs, is set in historic downtown Mount Olive, North Carolina. It brings together our hometown's best: authentic Eastern North Carolina barbecue, Mt. Olive Pickles, and local craft beer. Enjoy barbecue from the Pickles, Pigs & Swigs Whole Hog Cooking Competition, sample your favorite Mt. Olive pickles and sip brews from Mount Olive's own R&R Brewing. Plus, take in live bands, local vendors and more. Proceeds benefit the Mount Olive Downtown Development Corporation.

We invite you to participate as an arts & crafts vendor at the 2025 Pickles, Pigs & Swigs Festival, Saturday, November 8, 2025. Our operating hours this year will be 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Apply early, as we take vendors on a first-come, first served basis. Note that we limit both the number and the types of vendors so there will be the possibility for greater profit for everyone. We seek and encourage vendors who incorporate aspects of the festival, including pickles, pigs, BBQ, beer (although no additional alcohol sales are permitted) in their offerings. Let's get cooking! Only 20 teams will have the chance to compete in this Whole Hog Barbecue Series event. Judging will be based on Product Quality, with awards going to the top three teams:

1st Place $1,200 & Award
2nd Place $600 & Award
3rd Place $300 & Award
