Dancing Through the Decades — Building Community Since 1982
Founded by the late Lewis "Buck" Aycock and his wife, Miss Nancy, Cripple Creek Corner opened its doors in 1982 with a dream: to create more than just a dance studio — a true gathering place for the arts, community, and celebration. For over 40 years, it’s been exactly that — a place where generations have come to move, learn, and grow together.
Specializing in clogging, theatre dance, ballet, jazz, and more, Cripple Creek Corner has become a beloved cornerstone of Burgaw’s creative life. Beyond the dance floor, the studio has also been a lively backdrop for weddings, birthday parties, community events, and — in a pinch — even the temporary home of the Pender County Courthouse!
Still led by the ever-inspiring Miss Nancy and her son Jason Aycock, Cripple Creek Corner is fueled by a team of passionate instructors who are committed to offering the very best in dance education and unforgettable experiences. Whether you're looking for top-notch classes or a charming, historic venue full of heart, Cripple Creek Corner is ready to welcome you.
Come for the dance — stay for the community. Let’s create something beautiful together.
