Offering black and white adventure art to inspire anyone who loves the outdoors. Christina Rice is the Creator behind Alpine Line Art. She grew up in the mountains of Montana. In 2012 Christina graduated from Montana State University with two degrees - a B.F.A. in Fine Art with an emphasis in Drawing and a B.A. in English Literature. Inspired by the mountains and waterways of the West, Christina's current body of work celebrates our connection with nature and explores our deep compulsion to experience natural places through a variety of experiences such as skiing, biking, snowboarding, hiking, climbing, paddleboarding, and more. The title of her business and current series, "Alpine Line," refers both to the fleeting lines we leave on a landscape by engaging in these activities and to the lasting lines the landscape leaves on our internal worlds. The name refers both to her style of art that relies heavily on linework over shading and to the link between an individual and their environment. Texture, memory, excitement, reflection, and conversations between seeming opposites - such as black and white or movement and stillness - are all facets of Christina’s art.
