Accessibility at Eventeny

At Eventeny, accessibility is part of how we outfox chaos. We believe events should be easy to navigate for everyone, including people with disabilities.

We’re committed to helping people access, participate in, and manage events independently, confidently, and with respect.

Our commitment to inclusivity

Eventeny strives to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, a widely recognized standard for digital accessibility. We also aim to align with the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Accessibility is an ongoing effort. While we continue to make meaningful progress within our platform, some areas are still evolving. To help support a more inclusive experience today, we’ve partnered with accessiBe to offer a user-friendly tool that allows individuals to customize the interface to their needs.

Accessible planning

Eventeny is built to support the full team behind an event, from organizers to jurors to volunteer leads, so everyone can work confidently and efficiently:

  • Managing events through structured dashboards and intuitive navigation.
  • Building event pages, forms, and communications that are clear and inclusive by design.
  • Reviewing applications with accessible layouts and organized workflows.
  • Team coordination tools that are easy to navigate and use.
  • Supporting inclusive onsite experiences, including check-in and participant management.

Inclusive participation

We create accessible experiences for everyone attending or contributing to an event, including attendees, vendors, sponsors, and volunteers:

  • Navigating event pages with clear structure and readable content.

  • Purchasing tickets or registering through accessible, easy-to-follow flows.

  • Completing applications and forms with clearly labeled fields and logical structure.

  • Accessing schedules, event details, and important updates without barriers.
  • Engaging with events confidently, regardless of how they access the platform.

We're constantly improving

We take a multi-layered approach to accessibility, focused on both immediate improvements and long-term progress:

  • Conducting accessibility audits across key platform features and representative web pages
  • Testing with assistive technologies such as screen readers and keyboard navigation
  • Partnering with accessibility experts to identify issues and prioritize improvements
  • Building accessibility into our design and development processes, so new features are created with inclusion in mind from the start
  • Preparing VPATs (Voluntary Product Accessibility Templates) to document our conformance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards

We also use supportive tools to help identify and address accessibility issues more efficiently. These tools enhance the experience, but our primary focus is on building accessible functionality directly into our platform.
