About the event

HOURS: 10 am - 5 pm daily (Early Bird Ticket: 9 am on Friday only). Come shop, play, tour and make memories during this 80-year-old tradition -- the Waterford Foundation's "Waterford Fair"! The Fair is the mid-Atlantic's quintessential fall festival with demonstrating fine heritage & contemporary craft artisans, living historians, a juried art show, historic properties tour, local libations, Waterford Craft School talks & workshops, and entertainment for all ages. Located in the National Historic Landmark of Waterford (f. 1733), this unique village is situated in Western Loudoun County, Virginia. Noted as "DC's Wine Country", we are only 50 minutes from the District of Columbia. Tickets go on sale in August. Children (12 & under) & Foundation members FREE! Ticket types: VIP, Early Bird (Fri only), youth, single day, military, 3-day passes and seniors (over 65). About the application

We are excited to have your support at our newest Fair venue, Mill End Waystation (wine & beer sales)! The Waystation tent will be located on Bond Street Meadow. Some tasks include: • Cashier/ID Check & Wristband s • Pourer • Set-up/Breakdown • Clean up Shifts to choose from on Friday, Saturday or Sunday: • 10 am - 2 pm • 1:30 pm - 5:30 pm Thank you for your help. It truly takes a village for the Fair run smoothly year after year!

Terms & Conditions

Volunteer positions are a minimum of 4 hours. As a volunteer, you will be able to enjoy the Fair at no charge on the day you volunteer or if you volunteer beforehand, you will receive a free Fair ticket that can be used any day. Most of our volunteer positions require volunteers to be over 16 years of age, except for the Wine & Beer area for which the minimum age is 21 (be prepared to show your id when you arrive for your shift). As an ambassador for the Foundation, welcoming visitors to Waterford, please follow the golden rule and treat fairgoers, residents, staff and other volunteers as you would wish to be treated. Be polite, helpful and if you are unable to assist someone find someone who can (e.g., your supervisor, information booth, sheriff's deputy, EMs, staff, etc.). Waterford is a historic village with rolling hills, uneven sidewalks and many of the properties are not ADA accessible. If you have any special needs we should be made aware of regarding the projects you are volunteering for, please add a note in the application. Dressing for your shift: business casual dress/casual dress is fine. Corporate groups may wear company logo items to identify them as a group. Please dress for the weather but do not wear shorts or ripped shirts. Comfortable walking shoes are a must. Volunteers must have their own transportation to and from their shift(s). By entering the Fair premises, you consent to being filmed and/or photographed for promotional purposes. Any person desiring not to have their photo/video taken or distributed must contact oldschool@waterfordfoundation.org in writing of his/her/their intentions before the event. I grant the Waterford Foundation the ability to send relevant text messages to the phone number provided (e.g. emergency broadcasts such as shelter in place or leave the premises due to severe weather and details about shift/duty changes). Texting messaging rates apply. The frequency of text messages may be daily throughout the time of the program you are participating in. Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe from text messages. Foundation staff and Volunteer Leads have the right to terminate any volunteer's shift at any time. Your information is not shared or sold to other entities, and is used solely for the the Waterford Foundation program you sign up for.
