About the event

The Reading Pride LGBTQ+ Pride festival is the oldest and largest festival of its kind in the area celebrating its 18th anniversary in 2024 and continuing to grow. Last year's festival was the largest ever, with over 5,000 attendees, 130 vendors, 15 food trucks, and 30 performers, and this year will be even larger. The 2024 Festival formerly known as Reading Pride Festival, will now be Known as the Berks Pride Fest. Vendor, sponsor & entertainer applications go live on January 1st, 2023. Sponsors, vendors, and entertainers are encouraged to complete the applications early. There are many sponsorship opportunities, but if you don't see one that suits your needs, please feel free to reach out. We will be pleased to discuss options. Vendors are encouraged to take a look at our Berks LGBTQ+ Alliance site and consider membership as members receive 25% off of the booth fee. www.berkslgbtqba.org Vendors who join the Berks LGBTQ+ Business alliance before submitting their application can also take advantage of that discount. About the application

*See shift description for details on this role. Please help make this year's festival better than ever. Each year our festival is staffed and made possible by volunteers like you. please take a look at the opportunities and shifts and sign up where you can help. Volunteers attend the festival free of charge and can earn free entrance to the afterparty for helping with tear down. Lunch and soft drinks are provided. Set up shift begins at 6:30am (but is you can come early please do, we will be there at 6), most others are 10:15-2:30 & 2:15-6:30. Tear down shift goes from 6-8:30pm, and after party shifts run between 6:30pm & 11pm. There are tasks that happen on other days to help prepare. Please sign up to help with any you are available for. Please sign up for the departments and shift that interest you. We know some tasks are more popular than others, but all are just as important. We may need to move people around if needed. Our volunteer chair will reach out with confirmations. ***Important note on T-shirts, we will attempt to order t-shirts, but cannot guarantee we will get them in time. Please wear your pride best in the event t-shirts aren't available. Name badges to identify you will be provided. We will submit the t-shirt order on July 2nd, so we can only order for those volunteers who sign up by July 1st.

Terms & Conditions

LGBTQ+ & Allied community members are welcome. You are not required to upload a photo, but it is helpful to help us know who we are expecting, and also potentially we can add it to your volunteer badge. Thank you in advance for helping to make our 18th annual festival a success. Pride is not possible without you. All volunteers & their families are invited to our volunteer thank you picnic on August 11th. Volunteers under the age of 18 but 14+ are welcome to help with fencing but must be accompanied by a parent of guardian. All volunteers must sign & upload the waiver below. If you are unable to print and sign, we will attempt to email it to you for an electronic signature.

message Shuttle drivers will drive up & down the path from the festival entrance to the festival end. Shuttle drivers provide a ride to anyone who stops the cart and needs it. Volunteers should not question disability, as the shuttle is provided for a variety of reasons. Shuttle drivers may drive the attendee to their car only if asked, so long as they can do so safely passing through the admission gates. Otherwise, they should drop off as close to the admission gate as safely possible. Drivers may also be called to assist with entertainers getting from their cars to the farmhouse with their equipment.
