About the event

The 3rd Annual Rome Pride take place this year on June 28-30, 2024 in beautiful Rome, Georgia. Our full schedule is to be announced, but you can look forward to: Volunteer opportunities, meet and greet gatherings, and educational opportunities at PAM Studios with PFlag in downtown Rome. Our Kick Off Party with a live Drag Show on the evening of June 28th. June 29th is our March/Parade and main festival day. Enjoy live entertainment, a 100 + curated artisan and vendor market, food trucks, kids zone, and a whole lot of community love. On Sunday we host our annual Pride church service with a special guest speaker at Rome First, and our Drag Brunch at the Forrest Hotel Downtown. The Rome Georgia Pride Festival is a free admission LGBTQ+ pride festival that takes place in downtown Rome, Georgia. The festival provides a family-friendly and inclusive atmosphere in a small town setting. Rome Georgia Pride is the largest rural LGBTQ+ Pride event in North Georgia! More than 3,000 people attended in 2023. As a 100% volunteer-powered 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization,Rome Georgia Pride relies on sponsors like you to help ensure that we can continue serving North Georgia with our admission-free, family-friendly events. Due to outgrowing our previous location, Rome Georgia Pride will be relocating to Ridge Ferry Park in 2024, the largest park in Rome, Georgia!

About the application

Volunteers are encouraged to select up to 2 different time shifts during the festival at the park. In addition, Please consider signing up for set-up/break-down, the March, the kick-off party or brunch happening at different times over the week-end!

Terms & Conditions

Volunteers must attend 1 of 2 Meet and Greet/Training sessions. (Snacks will be provided) Terms & Conditions Volunteer shift preference will be taken into account when scheduling, but shift changes may happen due to attendance and demand of the weekend. There will be additional communication prior to the Festival and March instructing you where to check-in for your shift and volunteer leads will provide more information upon your arrival the day-of as to your specific duties and assignments for your shift. The weekend of Pride is generally very hot and the safety and well-being of our volunteers is our utmost priority. Please communicate very clearly any accommodations you will need for your shift and during your shift if you should ever need a break. As a small token of our appreciation, volunteers will receive one drink ticket (non-alcoholic/alcoholic included), snacks and water during volunteer hours. Volunteers will be required to wear their volunteer badge at all times. Please dress accordingly for the weather and wear protective shoes, SPF, hats, sunglasses, etc. There is minimal space to store volunteer items so please be prepared to leave anything you do not need at home. Every volunteer is required to sign the liability waiver located at the end of this form. I am aware of the terms and conditions of this agreement and am signing this agreement of my own free will. Further, by signing this agreement I attest to the fact that I am 18 years of age or older. I expressly agree that this Agreement is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of the State of Georgia in the United States of America and that this Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Georgia and City of Rome.
