Mascot Wearer/Mascot Handler

- MASCOT Volunteers report and check-in at the Volunteer Check-in tent with the Volunteer Coordinator and get “Mascot Parade” instructions. - You have access to the Mascot Tent dressing area for changing. You can also use this area to take breaks and rehydrate away from the public. - MASCOTS (while interacting with guest) please do not hug or touch guest. - HANDLERS to assist in dressing mascot, escorting/guiding mascot through the LagoonFest Event Site and engage mascots with the public and photo ops. - HANDLERS & MASCOTS - Be mindful of the temperature and take as many breaks as needed. Stay hydrated. - ENGAGE Event Goers! - The MASCOT and HANDLER may be required to walk and stand for an hour at a time and may occasionally be required to work outside in various climates and environments. - While preforming the duties as stated above, the MASCOT is frequently required to listen, use hands, walk, move and dance.

ALL VOLUNTEERS MUST CHECK IN AT THE VOLUNTEER CHECK IN BOOTH LOCATED AT THE SW CORNER OF POST PARK, LOCATED ON FERN ST & S. FLAGLER DR. SIGN IN; PICK UP VOLUNTEER T-SHIRT. Volunteers must arrive at least 15 minutes prior to their shift to ensure that you are at the correct assigned location. Volunteers should take time prior to your shift to walk the event and familiarize yourself with the layout. While performing the duties as stated at your volunteer location: - Volunteers are required to work LagoonFest from 8:00am to 3:30 pm. Breaks will be provided. - Bring reusable water bottle, your lunch or money to purchase food at the LagoonFest or WPB Green Market right next door to LagoonFest. - If you need a break, at a specific time, please contact your coordinator - Volunteer will provide cell # to coordinator and have coordinators cell #. - Volunteer is frequently required to sit, speak, listen, use hands, handle, or operate devices or tools and reach with hands and arms. - Volunteer may be required to walk and stand for a few hours at a time. - Volunteer works outside in various climates and environments. Be dressed for the weather and be prepared if it changes! - Works closely with others. - Be mindful of temperatures and drink/eat as needed – stay hydrated!
