Free Play Florida November 18-20, 2022 Volunteer Application
This year Free Play Florida is back and giving our visitors a passport to journey “Across the Gamerverse” through the past, present, and future of pinball, arcade, and home consoles. Step into different times and worlds filled with wonder, amazement, and pivotal moments in gaming history while creating memories for your critical role in the future of the Gamerverse! Please read all the content below as it will provide helpful information on how you can volunteer.
You may not realize this, but everyone you see from the people selling tickets, to the people who keep the games up and running are volunteer staff graciously donating their time and energy.
Volunteering at Free Play Florida requires some commitment of your time, but is a great way to make new friends and enjoy the event with an added sense of camaraderie. In addition, as we are a registered non-profit organization, volunteer hours can be used for community service requirements. It's also just a lot of fun!

Job Duties:
Volunteers assist with various tasks at the event as assigned by the volunteer coordinator. Some of the areas that you may be assigned to work are game tournaments, doorman duties, special guest hospitality, game sanitization or other tasks throughout the weekend. During your shift you may be assigned to a rotation of the different duty areas.
Volunteer Requirements:
As a volunteer, you are expected to arrive for your shift on time, dressed appropriately (jeans or shorts and t-shirt with sneakers along are the most comfortable), ready for work, and with a good attitude.
We expect volunteers to treat each other, Free Play Florida patrons, and staff in the same manner that they would want to be treated: with respect and courteous attitude at all times. Volunteers should plan on pitching in when needed, working hard, and enjoying what the show has to offer.
In exchange for your volunteer assistance, you will be provided with some great incentives depending on how many shifts you decide to work. Prior to the event all volunteers will be provided more detailed information about show layout and job duties.
* Volunteers who work shifts totaling at least 4 hours will be provided with a 1 day event pass.
* Volunteers who work shifts totaling at least 8 hours will be provided with an exclusive staff shirt to keep, a weekend pass to the event, and a ticket to the After Party.
* Volunteers who work shifts totaling more than 8 hours will be provided with an exclusive staff shirt to keep, a weekend pass to the event, a ticket to the After Party, and some extra swag.
Applicants must be 18 years or older.
