About the event

Apple Harvest Day is a day-long family event, featuring 250 vendors, great food, live entertainment, and a 5k road race. The event was first held in 1985 with a dozen crafters and now draws more than 60,000 people to downtown Dover, making it one of the region's most popular fall festivals.

About the application

Consider volunteering on Apple Harvest Day, Saturday, October 3rd 2026, the 42nd Year. We have a variety of opportunities throughout the day that are usually only 3 hour shifts. We generally have 60,000 attendees, 300 vendors, two stages of entertainment, 500+ road race participants, amusements, two food courts, and more! In order to ensure a successful event, we'll need approximately 100 volunteers throughout the day. Your participation is greatly appreciated. New this year is a database that will make it easier for you to register for any shifts you would like to volunteer for. Please let us know if you have any problems registering or have any suggestions on how we can make this better. Join us for a fantastic experience.
