Volunteer Commitment: Volunteers agree to fulfill their assigned shift and arrive on time and ready to work.
Age Requirements: Minimum age to volunteer 21.
Assignment Flexibility: Volunteers may be assigned to different duties based on festival needs and agree to assist where needed.
Code of Conduct: Volunteers must treat attendees, staff, vendors, performers, and other volunteers with respect and professionalism. Harassment, discrimination, threatening behavior, or inappropriate conduct will not be tolerated.
Safety & Compliance: Volunteers must follow instructions from festival organizers, security, police, and emergency personnel and comply with all festival rules and applicable laws.
Weather & Outdoor Conditions: Volunteers acknowledge that festival activities may take place outdoors and may involve heat, sun, rain, or other weather conditions.
Alcohol & Substance Policy: Volunteers must follow all laws and festival policies regarding alcohol and drugs. Volunteers may not report for duty under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Confidentiality: Volunteers may have access to private information about the organization, staff, performers, vendors, or attendees and agree not to misuse or disclose confidential information.
Photography & Media Release: Volunteers acknowledge that they may be photographed or recorded during the festival and grant permission for their image and likeness to be used for promotional, educational, and archival purposes.
Personal Property: Volunteers are responsible for their own personal belongings. The organization is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged property.
Transportation & Parking: Volunteers are responsible for arranging their own transportation unless otherwise specified. There is no designated volunteer parking.
Food & Breaks: Volunteers will receive meals, snacks, water, or scheduled breaks, if applicable.
Cancellation: The organization reserves the right to modify volunteer assignments, schedules, or cancel volunteer shifts due to weather, safety concerns, operational needs, or other unforeseen circumstances.
Volunteer Status: Volunteers understand that they are serving in an unpaid volunteer capacity and are not employees or independent contractors of South Carolina Pride.
Removal from Volunteer Service: The organization reserves the right to dismiss or remove a volunteer from service for violating policies, failing to follow instructions, misconduct, or creating a safety concern.
Emergency Contact: Volunteers should provide accurate emergency contact information and notify organizers of any relevant accessibility or accommodation needs.
