By registering as a volunteer, I acknowledge and agree to the following:
I understand that submitting a volunteer application does not guarantee placement in a specific role or shift. Volunteer assignments are based on event needs.
I agree to arrive on time, complete my assigned shift, and communicate with event staff as soon as possible if I am unable to attend.
I agree to treat all attendees, volunteers, vendors, performers, and staff with respect and help foster a welcoming, inclusive, and affirming environment.
I understand that harassment, discrimination, hate speech, bullying, or behavior that compromises the safety or dignity of others will not be tolerated and may result in my immediate removal from the event.
I understand that I may become aware of confidential or sensitive information while volunteering. I agree to respect the privacy of attendees and not share personal information or stories learned through my volunteer role.
I agree to follow all instructions provided by event staff and volunteer leads and to work within the responsibilities of my assigned role.
I understand that volunteer duties may include standing for extended periods, lifting, walking, working outdoors, and other physical tasks, depending on my assigned shift. I will communicate any accessibility or accommodation needs in advance.
I understand that photographs and video may be taken during the event and grant the Grand Rapids Pride Center permission to use images or recordings that include me for promotional, educational, or archival purposes.
I understand that the Grand Rapids Pride Center reserves the right to modify volunteer assignments, schedules, or event logistics as needed and may dismiss volunteers whose conduct is inconsistent with the mission, values, or safety of the event.
