1st Faire 2027: Out of This World
By applying to volunteer for 1st Faire, you agree to the following terms and expectations:
General Expectations
• Volunteers are expected to act professionally, respectfully, and cooperatively with guests, staff, vendors, performers, and fellow volunteers at all times.
• Volunteers represent the spirit and reputation of 1st Faire while on site.
• Teamwork, communication, reliability, and kindness are required.
Attendance & Scheduling
• Volunteers are responsible for arriving on time for all scheduled shifts, meetings, and trainings.
• If you cannot make a shift or emergency circumstances arise, communication with department leads is required as soon as possible.
• No call no shows may result in removal from the event and future volunteer opportunities.
Substance Policy
• Absolutely no volunteering while intoxicated or under the influence of illegal substances.
• Volunteers must be able to safely and effectively perform their responsibilities during shifts.
• Unsafe, disruptive, or impaired behavior may result in immediate removal from volunteer duties and/or the event grounds.
Safety & Conduct
• Volunteers must follow all safety procedures, emergency protocols, and instructions from department leads and event coordinators.
• Harassment, discrimination, violence, threats, theft, or abusive behavior will not be tolerated.
• Volunteers are expected to help maintain a welcoming, inclusive, and community focused environment.
Event Environment
• 1st Faire is an outdoor immersive event with uneven terrain, changing weather, loud music, crowds, and extended activity hours. Volunteers should come prepared for outdoor conditions.
• Some volunteer positions may require standing for extended periods, lifting supplies, walking long distances, or working in high energy environments.
Media Release
• By volunteering, you acknowledge that photos and videos may be taken during the event and may be used for promotional and marketing purposes by 1st Faire.
Liability
• Volunteers participate at their own risk and are responsible for their personal belongings, transportation, hydration, and preparedness.
• 1st Faire reserves the right to remove any volunteer from duties or from the event for violations of policies, unsafe behavior, misconduct, or failure to fulfill responsibilities.
Community First
• 1st Faire is built through collaboration, creativity, and community effort. We ask all volunteers to help protect the atmosphere, magic, and experience we create together.
