About the event

Gamers Alley Con is a full weekend celebration of gaming, collectibles, anime, and pop culture. Join us Saturday and Sunday, August 1st and 2nd, at the Gastonia Conference Center for an unforgettable event bringing together fans of video games, trading cards, toys, anime, and collectibles. This is more than a vendor show—it’s a full convention-style experience built for collectors, players, families, and fans of all ages. VIP Early Access Night Friday, July 31st | 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM Kick off the weekend early with exclusive VIP Early Access. VIP attendees receive first access to the Vendor Hall before the main event begins, offering a quieter shopping experience and early opportunity to browse select vendors. Event Hours Vendor Hall Hours (Vendors Only): Friday (VIP Early Access): 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM Saturday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM Sunday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM Show Programming Hours (Panels, Gaming, Tournaments, Arcade, and Activities): Saturday: 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM Sunday: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM What You’ll Experience Video Game Room A dedicated space featuring classic and modern gaming, along with tournaments running throughout the weekend. Tabletop Gaming Room Enjoy board games, role-playing games, and casual play areas where you can join ongoing sessions or bring your own group. Trading Card Game (TCG) Tournaments Competitive and casual tournaments featuring popular TCG titles. Full schedules and prize details will be announced soon. Please note: Tournament entry may require separate registration or fees. Celebrity Guest Appearances Meet special guests, attend panels, and take part in photo and autograph opportunities. Guest announcements coming soon. Main Vendor Hall Explore vendors offering trading cards, retro and modern video games, vintage toys, anime merchandise, collectibles, and hobby supplies. Cosplay Contests Show off your creativity in our cosplay contests with separate categories for kids and adults.

Volunteer with Gamers Alley Minicon Gamers Alley Minicon is a full weekend celebration of gaming, trading cards, collectibles, anime, and pop culture—and we’re looking for passionate, reliable volunteers to help make it all happen. As a volunteer, you’ll be part of the team that keeps the event running smoothly. Tasks may include assisting with guest check-in, helping vendors, managing lines, supporting gaming areas, and providing general event support throughout the weekend. This is a great opportunity to get involved behind the scenes, meet fellow fans, and be part of an exciting community event. Volunteers should be dependable, friendly, and ready to jump in where needed. Terms & Conditions

Volunteer Terms & Conditions – Gamers Alley Minicon By submitting this application, you agree to the following terms: 1. Volunteer Role Volunteers are unpaid and participate on a voluntary basis. Duties may include, but are not limited to, guest assistance, line management, vendor support, badge check-in, and general event operations. 2. Scheduling & Commitment Volunteers are expected to arrive on time for assigned shifts and remain for the full duration. If you are unable to attend, you must notify the event team as soon as possible. 3. Conduct & Professionalism Volunteers are expected to be respectful, professional, and courteous to guests, vendors, staff, and fellow volunteers at all times. Harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the event. 4. Dress Code Volunteers must follow any provided dress guidelines, including wearing assigned badges, shirts, or credentials during shifts. 5. Age Requirement Volunteers under 18 must have parental/guardian consent. Some roles may be restricted to volunteers 18+. 6. Liability Waiver By volunteering, you acknowledge that participation involves some level of physical activity. You agree to release and hold harmless Gamers Alley Minicon, its organizers, and venue from any liability for injuries, loss, or damages incurred during the event. 7. Media Release You grant permission for Gamers Alley Minicon to use photos or video footage taken during the event that may include your likeness for promotional purposes. 8. Removal & Changes Gamers Alley Minicon reserves the right to reassign roles, adjust schedules, or dismiss volunteers at its discretion if terms are not followed. 9. No Guaranteed Perks Volunteer perks (if offered) are not guaranteed and may vary based on role fulfillment and event needs.
