38th Annual Kolache Festival BAKE SHOPPE APPLICATION

Booth space will be available for the Kolache Bake Shoppe, outside under tents on Main Street in Downtown Caldwell for the September 9, 2022 Kolache Festival. These booth spaces are only for KOLACHES, PASTRIES, AND OTHER BAKED ITEMS for a fee of $35.00 for non-profit organizations and $50.00 for commercial entries. No commission is charged. Entry fee must accompany entry form by August 16th. Fees are payable to KOLACHE FESTIVAL and mailed to address at the bottom of this letter. Booth space is 10’x10’ with a TENT COVERING PROVIDED. You need to bring your own display equipment and tables. NO OTHER SPACE WILL BE ALLOWED TO SELL KOLACHES. Posters or signs are permitted in booths stating name of organization or business. Booth area is to be kept as neat as possible. The City Police will provide a vehicle to help you bring your baked goods in after your first trip and will help for early dismissal when sold out. Each booth is to be clean at closing time with trash picked up and placed in proper receptacles. Closing time is at the end of the day-long festival. You may close your booth earlier if sold out.

Attend the annual Kolache Festival on the square in downtown Caldwell ALWAYS the 2nd Saturday in September. Admission is free and you’ll enjoy lots of attractions and homemade kolaches. The opening ceremonies begin at 9 am under the polka pavilion (located on Fox St.) It includes the crowning of Miss Kolache Festival followed by the SPJST youth beseda dancers. They’ll still have all the fun activities that you have come to love like the kolache eating contest, kolache baking championship, a 5K Kolache Krunch run and of course POLKA music. Plus, they’ll have quality arts and crafts and food booths, an amazing quilt show, museums, street rods & classic car show, antique machinery and tractor show, and kids' activity zone. The attractions are endless so plan to attend the Kolache Festival on the 2nd Saturday of September in downtown Caldwell.

AS ALWAYS, COME PREPARED FOR ANY WEATHER CHANGES. The Kolache Festival requires that all Kolaches be sold for $2 each and $24.00 per dozen and should be approximately 3” in diameter for uniformity. All other baked goods to be priced at entry’s discretion. No other regulations. We encourage you to wear your Czech costumes and aprons for added color. We welcome your participation and look forward to visiting with those of you who have so faithfully kept returning year after year.
