About the application

Thank you for your interest in participating in the 5th Anniversary Long Beach BBQ Festival, taking place Memorial Day Weekend 2027 in Long Beach, California.

As California’s Largest BBQ Festival, the Long Beach BBQ Festival brings together thousands of guests for a weekend centered around incredible food, live entertainment, community, and unforgettable experiences. For our 5th Anniversary, we are expanding to three days and creating our most ambitious festival yet!

This application is for BBQ and food vendors only.

We are looking for high quality, professional, guest focused food businesses that are prepared to serve a large festival audience and contribute to the overall experience of the event. Our 2027 vendor lineup will be carefully curated to provide variety, quality, strong presentation, and an exciting mix of flavors and concepts.

**Please note that submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance. All applicants will be reviewed based on menu, presentation, professionalism, experience, operational readiness, space availability, category balance, and overall fit with the festival.

Our food vendor program is designed to create opportunities for independent food businesses, caterers, mobile vendors, pop ups, and emerging BBQ concepts. Traditional food vendor spaces are generally reserved for businesses that do not currently operate a permanent brick and mortar restaurant.

2027 BBQ and Food Vendor Fees:

10x10 Space: $1,550

20x10 Space: $1,950

**Vendor fees do not include electricity, Temporary Food Facility permit fees, City of Long Beach business license fees, or any other required permits, licenses, equipment, rentals, or additional services.

Any additional fees required for participation will be the responsibility of the vendor.

Payment plan options may be available for accepted vendors through Eventeny.

Accepted vendors will be required to comply with all applicable City of Long Beach, health department, fire department, insurance, permitting, food safety, operational, and festival requirements.

We are expecting a large turnout for our 5th Anniversary weekend, so vendors should be prepared for significant volume and have appropriate staffing, inventory, equipment, and service capacity.

We are excited to welcome both returning favorites and new businesses as we build a curated 2027 lineup worthy of this milestone year.

If your business is ready to bring great food, strong energy, and an outstanding guest experience to California’s Largest BBQ Festival, we invite you to apply!!

By submitting an application for the 2027 Long Beach BBQ Festival, the applicant acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to the following Terms and Conditions established by Axiom Productions, LLC.

1. Application and Selection

Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance into the Long Beach BBQ Festival.

The 2027 vendor lineup will be carefully curated. Applications may be evaluated based on food quality, menu variety, booth presentation, professionalism, experience, operational capability, category balance, space availability, and overall fit with the festival.

Previous participation in the Long Beach BBQ Festival does not guarantee acceptance for 2027.

Axiom Productions, LLC reserves the right to approve or decline applications at its discretion.

2. Vendor Eligibility

Applicants must provide accurate information regarding their business operations.

Providing false or misleading information may result in denial of the application or cancellation of participation.

3. Vendor Fees
The 2027 BBQ and food vendor fees are:

10x10 Space: $1,550

10x20 Space: $1,950

These fees cover the approved festival vendor footprint only.

Each vendor is responsible for all additional costs associated with legally and safely operating at the festival.

4. Acceptance and Payment
Accepted vendors will receive notification through Eventeny.

Acceptance alone does not secure a vendor space.

Vendors must complete the required payment or initial installment by the deadline stated in their acceptance notification.

Payment plan options may be offered through Eventeny.

Failure to complete required payments by the designated deadlines may result in cancellation of participation and release of the vendor's space.

5. Refunds and Vendor Cancellations
Vendor fees are nonrefundable once payment has been submitted unless otherwise expressly stated in writing by Axiom Productions, LLC or required by applicable law.

If a vendor withdraws, cancels, fails to attend, fails to complete required payments, fails to obtain required permits or licenses, or becomes unable to participate for any reason, payments previously made will not be refunded.

Vendor fees cannot be transferred to another event or another business without written approval from Axiom Productions, LLC.

Vendor spaces may not be sold, assigned, shared, or transferred to another business without prior written authorization.

6. Required Permits and Licenses
Each vendor is responsible for obtaining all permits, licenses, certifications, approvals, and documentation required for participation.

The City of Long Beach requires temporary event food vendors to obtain the applicable Temporary Food Facility permit. Vendors selling at special events must also obtain the appropriate City of Long Beach business license or Special Event Vendor Permit.

All required documentation must be submitted by established deadlines.

Failure to obtain or provide required permits may result in removal from the festival without refund.

7. Health Department Requirements
Food vendors must comply with all applicable requirements established by the City of Long Beach Department of Health and Human Services and other governing health agencies.

Vendors are responsible for ensuring that food is prepared, stored, transported, handled, and served in compliance with applicable food safety regulations.

Temporary Food Facility permits must be obtained within the time frame required by the City of Long Beach. The City currently states that food vendors must obtain these permits at least two weeks before an event.

Festival deadlines may be earlier than governmental deadlines to allow Axiom Productions, LLC sufficient time to process event documentation.

8. Business License Requirements
Vendors are responsible for obtaining the appropriate City of Long Beach business licensing required to sell or display products at the festival.

The City states that businesses operating within Long Beach are required to obtain the applicable business license and specifically provides a Special Event Vendor Permit category for businesses vending at special events.

Any associated licensing fees are the responsibility of the vendor and are not included in the festival vendor fee.

9. Insurance
Vendors may be required to provide proof of general liability insurance meeting requirements established by Axiom Productions, LLC, the City of Long Beach, the venue, or other applicable entities.

Certificates of insurance must list all required additional insured parties exactly as instructed.

Failure to provide compliant insurance documentation by the required deadline may result in cancellation of participation without refund.

10. Booth Size and Setup
Vendors must remain within the footprint purchased and assigned.

A 10x10 vendor may not extend operations beyond a 10x10 footprint.

A 10x20 vendor may not extend operations beyond a 10x20 footprint.

This includes tents, tables, cooking equipment, smokers, refrigeration, storage, signage, supplies, prep areas, and other equipment unless otherwise approved by festival management.

Vendors requiring additional space must receive advance written authorization and may be subject to additional fees.

11. Booth Appearance
All vendor spaces must be clean, professional, attractive, and appropriate for a major public festival.

Axiom Productions, LLC may establish requirements relating to tent appearance, signage, banners, table coverings, menu displays, storage, and overall presentation.

Personal belongings, excessive storage, boxes, trash, and unsightly equipment should be kept out of guest view whenever possible.

12. Electricity
Electricity is not included in the vendor fee.

Vendors requiring electricity must disclose their complete electrical needs during the application or onboarding process.

Additional electrical fees may apply.

Unauthorized generators or electrical connections are prohibited unless expressly approved.

13. Cooking Equipment and Fire Safety
Vendors using grills, smokers, fryers, propane, charcoal, wood, open flame, or other heat producing equipment must comply with all applicable Long Beach Fire Department requirements.

Vendors are responsible for providing any required fire extinguishers, fire resistant materials, propane restraints, equipment clearances, permits, and other safety equipment.

Cooking equipment may only be placed in approved locations.

Axiom Productions, LLC or public safety officials may require equipment to be moved, modified, discontinued, or removed if it presents a safety concern.

14. Menu Approval
Vendors may only sell menu items approved as part of their festival participation.

The menu submitted with the application will be considered during the selection process.

Major menu changes after acceptance require approval from Axiom Productions, LLC.

The festival may limit substantially duplicate products or menu items when necessary to preserve variety within the vendor lineup.

Acceptance does not provide category or product exclusivity unless specifically stated in a separate written agreement.

15. Pricing
Vendors are responsible for establishing their own menu pricing unless otherwise communicated for a specific festival program or tasting experience.

Prices must be clearly displayed to customers.

Vendors must comply with all applicable laws regarding pricing, taxes, fees, and payment processing.

16. Staffing and Inventory
The 5th Anniversary Long Beach BBQ Festival is expected to attract a significant audience.

Vendors are responsible for arriving adequately staffed and stocked for the anticipated customer volume.

Running out of food, inadequate staffing, or operational difficulties do not relieve the vendor of the obligation to remain open during required operating hours unless directed otherwise by festival management.

17. Festival Hours
Vendors must be operational during all assigned festival hours.

Exact vendor operating dates and hours will be provided before the festival.

Vendors may not open late, close early, or cease operations without authorization from Axiom Productions, LLC.

18. Load In and Load Out
All vendors must comply with assigned load in, setup, vehicle access, breakdown, and load out schedules.

Vendor vehicles may only enter restricted festival areas during designated periods.

Late arrival may result in delayed access or loss of the vendor space.

Early breakdown is prohibited unless authorized by festival management.

19. Cleanliness and Waste
Vendors are responsible for maintaining their booth and surrounding area in a clean and sanitary condition throughout the event.

Trash, grease, wastewater, cooking oil, charcoal, food waste, and other materials must be disposed of only in approved locations.

**Dumping grease, oil, wastewater, food debris, or other waste onto grass, pavement, landscaping, storm drains, or festival grounds is strictly prohibited.

Vendors may be held financially responsible for damage, cleanup costs, or remediation resulting from their operations.

20. Vendor Conduct
Vendors and their employees must maintain professional and respectful conduct at all times.

Harassment, fighting, threatening behavior, discrimination, excessive intoxication, illegal activity, unsafe conduct, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.

**Axiom Productions, LLC reserves the right to remove any vendor, employee, or representative whose behavior negatively affects event safety, operations, guests, staff, other vendors, sponsors, or the reputation of the festival.

Removal for misconduct does not entitle the vendor to a refund.

21. Credentials
Vendor credentials are provided only for approved individuals actively working within the vendor operation.

Credentials may not be sold, duplicated, transferred, or provided to friends, family members, or individuals who are not working for the vendor.

The number of included credentials and any additional credential fees will be communicated to accepted vendors.

22. Sales and Payment Processing
Vendors are responsible for their own point of sale equipment, payment processing, cash management, internet or cellular service, taxes, and financial transactions unless otherwise specified by Axiom Productions, LLC.

**Axiom Productions, LLC is not responsible for vendor payment processing failures, internet interruptions, cellular service interruptions, lost cash, chargebacks, or customer payment disputes.

23. Weather
The Long Beach BBQ Festival is an outdoor event.

Vendors should prepare for sun, wind, heat, rain, coastal weather conditions, and other reasonable outdoor conditions.

Festival operations may continue during inclement weather when deemed safe.

24. Event Changes
Axiom Productions, LLC reserves the right to modify vendor placement, operating hours, festival programming, entrances, layouts, schedules, dates, event areas, or other operational details when reasonably necessary.

Specific booth locations are not guaranteed.

**Vendor location requests may be considered but cannot be promised.

25. Event Cancellation or Force Majeure
Axiom Productions, LLC is not responsible for losses resulting from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, public emergencies, governmental actions, public safety concerns, utility failures, civil unrest, acts of terrorism, labor disruptions, or other force majeure circumstances.

If the festival is canceled, postponed, or materially modified, Axiom Productions, LLC will communicate any applicable vendor options or policies based on the circumstances.

26. Photography and Media
Photography, video recording, media coverage, and content creation will occur throughout the festival.

By participating, vendors authorize Axiom Productions, LLC and its authorized representatives to photograph or record the vendor's booth, food, signage, staff, and activities during the festival.

Such content may be used for festival promotion, advertising, press, social media, archival purposes, sponsorship materials, and future marketing without additional compensation.

27. Festival Branding
The Long Beach BBQ Festival name, logos, graphics, promotional materials, and other intellectual property may only be used in accordance with guidelines provided by Axiom Productions, LLC.

Vendors may promote their official participation in the festival but may not alter festival logos or create materials that falsely imply sponsorship, ownership, endorsement, or another relationship beyond their approved vendor status.

28. Removal or Termination of Participation
Axiom Productions, LLC reserves the right to cancel or terminate a vendor's participation for reasons including, but not limited to:

  • Failure to make required payments

29. Responsibility for Vendor Operations
Each vendor is an independent business and is solely responsible for its own employees, contractors, products, food preparation, equipment, taxes, permits, licenses, insurance, business practices, and legal obligations.

Participation in the Long Beach BBQ Festival does not create an employment, partnership, joint venture, franchise, or agency relationship between the vendor and Axiom Productions, LLC.
