Advocacy / Campaign Booth: This category includes individuals, candidate committees, ballot measure committees, and advocacy organizations representing political candidates, elections, or public policy initiatives at the local, state, or federal level. This includes school board candidates, elected officials participating in campaign activity, political party organizations, and issue-based advocacy groups.
Advocacy or Campaign Booths may include informational outreach, distribution of literature, campaign messaging, and fundraising activities in support of their campaign, candidate, or advocacy cause. All fundraising activities must comply with applicable local, state, and federal election laws.
Campaign and advocacy-related applicants that do not qualify as a tax-exempt nonprofit organization must apply under this category. The District reserves the right to approve, deny, limit, or remove any Advocacy or Campaign Booth and to determine booth placement, quantity, and visibility to ensure a fair, balanced, and nonpartisan event environment.
