About the application

Festival Mission

 

The Green Tomato Festival celebrates arts, crafts, agricultural products, garden products, homemade goods, and community heritage. Merchandise related to the festival theme is encouraged.

 

All products and displays are subject to review and approval by the Festival Committee. The Committee reserves the right to approve, deny, or remove any merchandise that does not align with festival standards.


Vendor Eligibility

Approved vendor categories include:

  • Arts and Crafts Vendors
  • Food and Beverage Vendors
  • Agricultural and Farm Product Vendors
  • Specialty Merchandise Vendors approved by the Festival Committee

*** PLEASE NOTE THERE IS A SEPARATE APPLICATION FOR FOOD VENDORS.

 

All vendors may only sell items listed on their approved application.

 
Vendor Application & Approval

 

To participate, vendors must:

 

  1. Submit a completed vendor application.
  2. Pay all required fees
  3. Provide a complete list of products intended for sale.
  4. Receive approval from the Festival Committee.

Only approved merchandise may be displayed or sold during the festival.

The Festival Committee reserves the right to deny, restrict, or remove merchandise that does not meet festival standards.

 

Additional information regarding parking, vendor setup, check-in procedures, and festival maps will be provided to approved vendors prior to the event.

  

The Festival Committee reserves the right to require removal of any item deemed:

  • Offensive
  • Inappropriate
  • Unsafe
  • Misleading
  • Inconsistent with the festival's mission

Failure to remove prohibited merchandise may result in immediate dismissal from the event.

 
Check-In, Attendance & Cancellations

Vendors must check in and occupy their assigned booth space by the designated setup deadline.

21st Annual Fried Green Tomato Festival "Where Southern Hospitality Meets Hollywood History" The Fried Green Tomato Festival celebrates the history, culture, and community spirit of Juliette, Georgia. This famous little town was the filming location for the hit movie Fried Green Tomatoes and welcomes thousands of visitors each year. Come and experience the town's charm & hospitality during this two day event. Featuring: • Handmade arts and crafts • Agricultural and garden products • Homemade goods • Local businesses and entrepreneurs • Family-friendly entertainment • Community heritage and tourism Vendors whose products reflect these values are strongly encouraged to participate.

Terms & Conditions

Fried Green Tomato Festival Vendor Guidelines

Oct 24-25, 2026 ~ Downtown Juliette, GA

 

Eligibility

  • All media must be handmade and original.
  • Flea-market items, manufactured products, handmade imports, commercial crafts, or items from kits are not accepted.
  • All work displayed must match the photographs submitted.
  • Festival representatives will verify compliance and may require removal of items that do not meet these standards or were not approved.
  • The committee reserves the right to reject any application.

Selection Process
We have a limited number of booth spaces available and we desire to offer a variety of art / craft mediums.  If you know your specialty is a saturated offering at festivals we encourage you to create more unique offerings.   Exhibits will be approved based upon quality work and a diverse range of media, styles, and price points.  All work must be original, created by the exhibitor, and for sale. 

Please allow 2-4 weeks to process your application.

 

Location

The festival takes place in the streets of downtown Juliette, located 1 hour south of Atlanta and 20 minutes north of Macon.

From I-75: Take exit 186, turn east, and travel 9 miles. Juliette will be on your right.

From Macon: Take Riverside Drive (HWY 23) North to the intersection of Juliette Road. Turn right and travel 1/4 mile. Juliette will be on your right.

 

Hours
Saturday, March 14, 2026: 10 AM – 5 PM
Sunday, March 15, 2026: 10 AM – 5 PM
Vendors must remain open and staffed during all festival hours.

 

Inclement Weather
The festival is a rain-or-shine two-day event. No rescheduling or refunds will be issued due to weather.  Vendors are responsible for providing protective coverings for their displays.  Should force majeure "Acts of God" require event cancellation the same non-refundable policy still stands.  Fried Green Tomato Festival or it's organizers will not be responsible for any loss or damage to property regardless of the cause.

 

Booth Assignments

Booth space is assigned on a first-come, first-served basis after receipt of a completed application and payment.

While every effort will be made to accommodate location requests, the Festival Committee reserves the right to assign or relocate booths as necessary for event operations, safety, accessibility, or traffic flow.

Booth assignments are final.

 

Vendor Responsibilities

  • Vendors must supply all equipment needed for their setup.
  • Vendors must provide tents, tables, chairs, and displays. Do not tape, tack, or otherwise affix any materials or signs to walls, trees, lamp posts or other surfaces on public or private property. Canopies may be anchored by cinderblocks, sandbags, or tent weights only. No ground stakes are permitted.

  • Drilling or puncturing the street surface is strictly prohibited.

  • Maintaining a clean and attractive booth as well as cleaning up their assigned area at the close of each day.

  • Keeping their booth area free of hazards.

  • Conducting business in a professional manner.

  • Following all festival rules and staff instructions.

  • Respecting fellow vendors, volunteers, and attendees.

  • All vendor representatives and employees should be appropriately dressed and conduct themselves in a courteous and professional manner throughout the event.

  • When vacated, booth space must be left clear of paper, packing materials, or other refuse. Do not discard cartons or packing materials anywhere downtown or in the festival area. These items must be stored in your vehicle and taken with you upon departure.

  • Vendor setup may begin Friday evening between the hours of 5pm and 9pm and on Saturday morning between the hours of 6am and 9am. All booths must be fully set up and operational by 10am both Saturday & Sunday morning and remain open until 4pm both days.

The festival reserves the right to remove any vendor whose behavior is disruptive, unsafe, offensive, or inconsistent with the family-friendly nature of the event.

 

Literature, Promotions & Sales

The distribution or sale of literature, promotional materials, merchandise, or samples outside an assigned booth space is prohibited.

Approved promotional materials may only be distributed within a vendor's designated booth area.

 
Political Activities

The Fried Green Tomato Festival is a non-political community event. The following are prohibited:

 

  • Political campaign booths
  • Candidate endorsements
  • Political advertising
  • Campaign materials
  • Political fundraising activities

Festival management reserves the right to remove any display or activity that violates this policy.

 
Sound & Amplification

To maintain a pleasant festival environment:

  • Megaphones are prohibited.
  • Loudspeakers and amplified sound systems require prior approval.
  • Radios and music must be kept at reasonable levels.
  • Excessive noise or disruptive activities are prohibited.

Festival staff may require vendors to reduce or discontinue sound at any time.

 
Festival Safety Rules

For the safety of all attendees:

The following recreational devices are not permitted within festival areas:

Bicycles
Scooters
Skateboards
Roller skates
Roller blades
Similar wheeled devices
Exceptions may be made for mobility devices used for accessibility purposes.

 
Prohibited Merchandise & Activities

The following items may not be sold, displayed, distributed, or promoted:

Illegal drugs
Drug paraphernalia
Tobacco products
Nicotine or vaping products
Alcoholic beverages (unless specifically authorized)
Firearms

Weapons
Ammunition
Fireworks
Explosives
Smoke bombs
Stink bombs
Poppers
Silly string
Merchandise promoting violence or criminal activity
Merchandise containing hateful, discriminatory, obscene, or offensive language or imagery
The Festival Committee reserves the right to prohibit any additional item deemed inappropriate for a family-friendly public event.

 

Enforcement of Rules

Failure to comply with festival policies may result in:

Removal of merchandise
Closure of the vendor booth
Removal from festival grounds
Forfeiture of vendor fees
Denial of participation in future festivals
All decisions made by festival management and the Festival Committee are final.

 

Insurance

Vendors are expected to carry their own insurance coverage to protect their merchandise from damage, loss, or
theft incurred while participating in the Fried Green Tomato Festival. No insurance or guard services will be supplied by the Fried Green Tomato Festival. Participation in the Fried Green Tomato Festival is at the vendor’s own risk. 

 

Liability Insurance 

All exhibitors selling food for human or pet consumption AND exhibitors selling products that are applied to the skin (soap, skin care, etc.) are required to have product liability insurance naming Fried Green Tomato Festival and any event organizers as co-insured, indemnified, and held harmless in the event of damage of property, injury, death, alleged sickness from food/skin care product, and any other damages or claims, suits, etc., shall be in force and on file in our office prior to being in attendance at an event.  You can purchase a policy via Eventeny when you register.

 

Taxes

Each exhibitor is responsible for collecting the state sales tax and filing a report with the local Department of Revenue.

 

NOTE:  Juliette is in a rural area and most cell phone carriers do not have coverage.  If you plan to use an app for credit cards payments you may need to make other arrangements.  AT&T works well, Verizon does not.

 

WAIVER: I hereby make application for booth space for sale purposes in the 2026 Fried Green Tomato Festival. In signing this application, I agree to abide by all the rules and regulations previously set forth. I assume all risks associated with this event and hold harmless the Fried Green Tomato Festival, its employees, agents, and volunteers. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts and in consideration of your acceptance of my entry, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release all sponsors, their representatives, and successors, and any individual or group associated with this event from all claims and liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in this event, even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons named in this waiver. I grant permission to all the foregoing to use any photographs, motion pictures, recordings, verbal or written agreements, or any other record of this event for any legitimate purpose including publicity.

Single booth $100.00 Non-refundable Standard booth size: 12’ x 12’ (this could be on the paved street or set back onto grass/gravel areas)
Electrical $15.00 Non-refundable You must provide your own extension cord(s). Please note there are limited outlets within our town. Assigned booth space will be based upon electrical availability.
