About the application
SELLING DATES:
- October 3, 10am-6pm (Oktoberfest) - ALL VENDORS MUST SELL FOR THE DURATION OF SATURDAY'S EVENT.
GUIDELINES:
- Limited booth spaces are available for $150 (10x10 ft.).
- VENDORS MAY NOT EXCEED THEIR 10X10 ft. SPACE. If you are a vendor exceeding 10 ft. contact the event organizer, vendors may be granted additional room based on availability.
- Vendors must supply their own TENT, TABLES, and CHAIRS. Tents must be weighted with at least 40 lb. in case of high winds.
- Electricity will NOT be provided. Quiet generators are preferred if vendors require their own power.
- REQUIRED: Please review the attached Event Fire Safety Form to determine what type of fire extinguisher(s) you are required to have on-site.
- This is a high volume event that sees more than 25,000 visitors. Please prepare to serve for the duration of the event (Saturday, 10am-6pm).
APPLICATION DETAILS:
- Applications will be processed in two periods for ease of review and approval. You are currently applying in Period One.
- Application Period One: May 22-June 22
- Approvals/rejections will be sent by July 3 at 11:59pm.
- Approved vendors will be charged the full vendor fee on July 8 by 11:59pm.
- Application Period Two: June 23-July 24
- Approvals/rejections will be sent by August 5 at 11:59pm.
- Approved vendors will be charged the full vendor fee on August 10 by 11:59pm.
- Application Period One: May 22-June 22
- Applicants will receive a response when their application has been received. If you do not receive a response within one week, please contact the event organizer to ensure your submission was successful.
- Approved vendors will be sent a welcome packet with arrival details and a map of their booth location prior to the event.
RESCHEDULE DATE:
- If an act of God forces the rescheduling of Oktoberfest, all approved vendors are expected to attend the rescheduled Oktoberfest Event date of October 24, 2026, from 10 am to 6 pm and NO refunds or credits will be issued to vendors.

SUBMISSION OF THIS APPLICATION DOES NOT GUARANTEE YOU WILL BE GRANTED A SPACE.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- SNACK/SPECIALTY FOOD vendors are defined as those selling candies, nuts, prepared food, cotton candy, snow cones, ice cream, lemonade/mixed drinks, or other limited menu specialty items. If you are unsure whether you qualify as a snack/specialty vendor or food vendor please contact our staff at newberryfestivals@cityofnewberry.com OR (803) 276-1800.
- The event reserves the right to reject applications that do not meet the standard as judged by our panel. The event reserves the right to limit the number of vendors.
- Vendors must comply with all SCDA regulations.
- Vendors are required to sell for the duration of the event. Vendors who begin packing prior to 6pm are subject to expulsion and/or rejection from future City of Newberry events.
- Those who sell out early are expected to remain at the event through the event's close. Consider handing out business cards, taking orders, etc.
TAXES & LICENSES:
- Vendors are responsible for collecting and reporting SC and local sales tax as required by law. Visit the "Documents & Forms" page under the "Government" tab on the official City of Newberry website for more info.
- Vendors are responsible for obtaining a proper SC retail license from SCDOR. Vendors are not required to to purchase a City of Newberry business license; the vendor fee for this event serves as a City of Newberry business license ONLY for the duration of the festival.
NOTICE:
- City of Newberry Parks, Recreation, & Tourism reserves the right to accept or reject any application. We also reserve the right to remove any vendor that does not follow the policies established for this event.

I acknowledge that I have read all event policies and agree to adhere to them.
