Summer Blockfest Food Vendor (Tent/Stand)
About the application
Summer Blockfest is Hoboken’s first hip-hop-focused festival, founded in 2023 by Victor M. Lopez Jr., creator of What Hoboken Sounds Like. It was created to address the lack of a dedicated hip-hop platform in the city, giving local artists a stage to perform, connect, and gain visibility without pay-to-play barriers. Inspired by community-centered festivals like Dreamville Festival, it prioritizes access, equity, and artist development. Since launching, it has grown into an annual celebration of music, art, and culture, officially recognized by the City of Hoboken for its community impact. As of 2025, it has expanded to include artists from Jersey City along with select guest performers, continuing to strengthen the Hudson County hip-hop and creative scene.
