Paws and Claws Holiday Dog Costume Contest

Get your pup in the holiday spirit and join us for the Paws and Claus Holiday Dog Costume Contest at the Buford Holiday Festival on Saturday, Dec. 6th at 1:45 p.m. at 301 E. Main Street (Amphitheater Stage)!

 Dress up your furry friend in their most festive, funny, or creative holiday attire and strut their stuff for a chance to win prizes and bragging rights as one of Buford’s Top Dogs!

It’s free to enter, and all well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome.

From jingle bell collars to full-on Santa suits, we can’t wait to see the paw-sitively adorable holiday looks your pups bring to the stage.

Come celebrate the season, show off your dog’s holiday style, and make memories that will have tails wagging all winter long!

By participating in the Buford Holiday Festival & Parade Dog Costume Contest, I understand and acknowledge that participation is voluntary and may involve risks associated with animals, crowds, other dogs, children, noise, costumes, weather conditions, walking surfaces, and other activities associated with a public festival.

I understand that animals can behave unpredictably, even when they are normally friendly and well-behaved. I accept full responsibility for my dog and agree to keep my dog under my control at all times.

I certify that my dog is healthy enough to participate, is current on vaccinations required by law, and does not have a known history of dangerous or aggressive behavior that would make participation unsafe.

I agree to keep my dog on a secure leash unless otherwise directed by event organizers, clean up after my dog, and immediately remove my dog from the event if requested for safety reasons.

I understand that I am responsible for any injury, damage, or loss caused by my dog to another person, animal, or property.

To the fullest extent permitted by Georgia law, I agree to release, indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Buford Business Alliance, Buford Holiday Festival & Parade, event organizers, officers, directors, volunteers, sponsors, vendors, participating businesses, property owners, agents, employees, contractors, judges, and representatives from any claims, demands, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from or related to my participation or my dog’s participation in the Dog Costume Contest.

This includes, but is not limited to, claims involving personal injury, animal injury, bites, scratches, falls, illness, property damage, theft, loss, or other incidents occurring during the event.

I am responsible for ensuring that my dog’s costume is safe and does not interfere with breathing, vision, hearing, walking, or movement. The costume may not contain sharp, hazardous, or dangerous materials.

Event organizers reserve the right to refuse participation or remove any dog from the contest or event if the dog displays aggressive, disruptive, dangerous, or excessively stressed behavior or if the costume presents a safety concern.

I authorize the Buford Business Alliance and Buford Holiday Festival & Parade organizers to photograph, videotape, livestream, or otherwise record me and my dog during the event. I grant permission for these photographs and recordings to be used for social media, websites, advertising, publicity, event promotion, and future promotional materials without compensation.

I understand that judging is subjective, all decisions of the judges are final, and participation does not guarantee a prize or award.

By participating in the Dog Costume Contest, I acknowledge that I have read and understand this agreement, voluntarily accept its terms, assume the risks associated with participation, and accept full responsibility for my dog during the event.
