Join Chaoticon Anime & Pop Culture Convention as we participate in the 2026 Fourth of July Parade! We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help represent Chaoticon while handing out flyers and fun giveaways to parade attendees. Cosplay is highly encouraged, especially anime, gaming, comic, sci-fi, fantasy, and other pop culture themes. Family-friendly costumes only.

As a thank-you for volunteering, each volunteer will receive FREE one-day admission to Chaoticon 2026, valid for either Saturday, November 21, 2026, or Sunday, November 22, 2026, at the LaPorte Civic Auditorium.

Terms & Conditions
Volunteer Terms & Conditions
- Parade Date: July 4, 2026
- Volunteer Check-In Time: Approximately 9:00 AM
- Parade Duration: Approximately 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- Meeting Location: To be announced closer to the event based on official parade placement.
- This is a rain-or-shine event. Volunteers should be prepared for weather conditions including heat, sun exposure, wind, and rain.
- Volunteers are expected to walk the full parade route, approximately 2 miles along Lincolnway (Highway 2).
- Cosplay and themed attire are encouraged but must be family-friendly, safe, and comfortable enough to walk in for several hours.
- Volunteers will be provided with a smock/apron to carry flyers and giveaway items during the parade.
- Volunteers will be responsible for distributing Chaoticon promotional materials and approved giveaway items, which may include temporary tattoos, bubbles, candy, and similar items.
- Per City of LaPorte parade rules, flyers and giveaway items MUST be handed directly to spectators. Throwing, tossing, or launching any items into the crowd is strictly prohibited.
- Water, snacks, and basic volunteer supplies will be provided.
- Volunteers of all ages are welcome. Children ages 13 and under must be accompanied and supervised by a participating adult for the entire event.
- By registering, volunteers agree to follow instructions provided by Chaoticon staff and parade officials throughout the event.
- The phone number provided on this application will be added to a group text message for parade updates, announcements, and event-day communication.
- Chaoticon reserves the right to remove any volunteer who behaves inappropriately, fails to follow parade rules, or creates a safety concern.
