The 3rd Annual Ice Cream Sundae Eating Contest returns to Freedom Fest 2026! This high-energy, crowd-pleasing competition challenges participants to finish a massive “super sundae” in just 5 minutes.
Participants will compete for prizes and bragging rights, The top 3 eaters will receive a prize and Freedom Fest T-Shirt. Entries are limited, so early registration is encouraged.
Terms & Conditions
The Rules –
- Must be 18 years of age to enter. Entries are limited to the first 10 contestants to register.
- Contestants may not touch sundae until the starting signal.
- Contestants will have 5 minutes to down as much of the super sundae they can handle. All portions of the super sundae (including cones & toppings), must be eaten.
- When the 5-minute time limit is up contestants may not put any additional ice cream in their mouths.
- Visible signs of sickness will result in disqualification.
- In the result of multiple entrees finishing the super sundae, the contestant with the fastest time will be named the winner.

- I know that eating large amounts of ice cream is a potentially hazardous and an uncomfortable activity. I should not enter and eat unless I am medically capable. I realize that this is all in good fun, and I agree to be a good sport. I agree to abide by any decision of the contest officials and all of the contest rules. I assume all risks associated with eating in this type of event including, but not limited to, indigestion, that stuffed feeling, contact with other contestants, a general dislike for ice cream after I am done. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts, I waive and release the City of Thomaston and the contest organizers from all claims of liabilities of any kind arising out ofmy participation in this event.
