This floral handmade ceramic vase featuring my hand carved and painted flowers is gorgeous. It is a wonderful piece of home decor that would make a great wedding gift or a 9th Anniversary Gift. made this hand painted ceramic vase on my pottery wheel out of a pretty white stoneware clay then used a technique called Mishima to carve then fill the outlines of the flowers with black slip. After firing once, I painted the colors of each flower usung underglazes. Lastly, the top of the pot was dipped into the beautiful blue green glaze which created the solid flowing down to transparent colors. This piece of beautiful ceramic art measures 5.5" high x 7" across at the belly.
