Hand-carved Morning Glories Bowl

Sgraffito carved ceramic art bowl will make every meal special. This beautiful ruby red glaze bowl has hand-carved morning glories. What a perfect housewarming gift. Approx 4.5" tall X 7.5" across. I create each bowl by hand, step-by-step. First wheel thrown from white stoneware, then I brush black underglaze over the outside. Once dry enough, I carve away the black to reveal the floral display I imagine there. A slight cast of blue can sometimes be detected in the black underglaze due to the cobalt that is used to get the black. The bowls are glazed (I love this red inside) and fired to 2185 degrees in my electric kiln, at my San Diego home studio and are lead-free and safe to use in your dishwasher and microwave.
