Lemur, Red Ruffed (12")

Ruffed lemurs, native to Madagascar, are the largest members of the lemur family. The red ruffed lemur is a very clean animal and will spend a lot of time grooming both itself and in social grooming. The lemur's diet consists primarily of fruit, nectar, and pollen Ruffed lemurs are also the only primates with litters of young with the female giving birth to up to six (two or three is more typical). This cuddly red ruffed lemur! Its back is covered in a soft, woolly coat of rusty red fur, with darker colors on its face, down its front, to its long tail. With bright yellow eyes and a mane of long red hair from its ears to its chin, this fellow is truly adorable. Age: 24 months and up
