MCMA's Metro Montage submissions and exhibition are still moving forward fully on schedule! Metro Montage is the Marietta Cobb Museum of Art’s 20th annual juried exhibition featuring all types of genre, medium, style, subject matter, concept, and technique in art. Metro Montage XX will feature works of fine art by contemporary artists that showcase the diversity and skill within our nation’s culture. An anonymous panel will select works of art from over 500 submissions.

Metro Montage is the Marietta Cobb Museum of Art’s 20th annual juried exhibition featuring all types of genre, medium, style, subject matter, concept, and technique in art. "Metro Montage XX" will feature works of fine art by contemporary artists that showcase the diversity and skill within our nation’s culture. An anonymous panel will select works of art from over 500 submissions. **As this is the 20th Anniversary of Metro Montage, we will be celebrating by utilizing all galleries in the museum for the exhibition, enabling us to accept more pieces of art than in years past!** IMPORTANT DATES 2020: April 17 Submission Deadline—11:59pm May 13 Accepted and Denied notification will be mailed USPS June 25 Art Delivery between 9:00am and 3:00pm July 11 Opening Reception 6:00 — 8:00pm September 6 Exhibition closes at 4:00pm September 7 Art Pick Up between 9:00am and 3:00pm AWARDS: First Place: $750 · Second Place: $500 · Third Place: $250 JUROR: MCMA Curator, Madeline Beck, will once again lead an anonymous committee of jurors to judge this year’s Metro Montage. Beck has been working with the MCMA staff since 2015 and was Curatorial Assistant for the Zuckerman Museum of Art. She graduated summa cum laude from Kennesaw State University with a B.A. in Art History. Beck has judged numerous exhibitions in Atlanta, presented undergraduate research at conferences across the region, and has been published in three academic journals. Terms & Conditions

ENTRY FEE: $35 Members of MCMA / $40 Non-Members -Payment will be processed at the completion of this submission form. Your membership status will be checked to confirm current enrollment. -Fee is non-refundable. Maximum submission of 3 pieces of art per payment. -If you are interested in becoming a member and paying the reduced fee please go to www.mariettacobbartmuseum.org. SUBMISSION GUIDELINES/REQUIREMENTS: -Eligible media includes but is not limited to: oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, ink, pencil, mixed media, collage, printmaking, photography, sculpture, pottery, mosaic and fiber. Giclees and video/sound art are not eligible. -Installations must be approved prior to submission deadline, as they are subject to denial based on size and manner of installing. Substitute submissions may be necessary. -Submitted artwork may not have a height or width exceeding 80 inches. -All images must be in JPG or PNG format. -Only one (1) digital image may be submitted for each 2-D work. A maximum of three (3) digital images may be submitted for each 3-D work. -If you have problems with the online application process or do not receive an email confirmation for your submission please contact Madeline Beck at 770-528-1444 x18 or email: madeline@mariettacobbartmuseum.org CONDITIONS: -All entries must be original work that is recent (within the last ten years) and has not been previously shown at MCMA in any capacity. -Images submitted are to be un-enhanced and un-manipulated in high resolution. Any accepted art that arrives altered or different in any way from the image submission may be disqualified. -Photography submissions must be one of a limited edition and not showing elsewhere during Metro Montage. -All works must be appropriately framed and ready to hang upon delivery. All works must have securely fastened hanging wire using D rings. No saw tooth hangers are permitted. -MCMA will be given consent to use submitted images for any future promotional purposes. -MCMA retains 30% commission on any work sold during the exhibition.

Submission Fee $40
MCMA Member Submission Fee $35 Membership status will be checked. MCMA reserves the right to invoice you for the remaining cost of submission if your membership is found to be expired at the time of submission.
