The festival is welcomed with the annual Hometown Holidays Parade that was introduced in 1989, and takes place on the first Thursday following Thanksgiving. That Saturday only, Secret Santa’s Workshop will open to shoppers who can pick up holiday décor, unique finds for the kids, or a gift for that special someone from artists and local businesses. The following Saturday, participants of the 1st Jingle Jog 5K will hit the streets of Forsyth. Runners will have the opportunity to be amazed by seasonal decorations and lights, while dressed up in festive gear, and hot cocoa will be available after the finish line.
