About the event

(1st Saturday in October) It wouldn’t be fall in the Carson Valley without the annual Scarecrow, Harvest Festival, and Annual Slaughterhouse Lane Coffin Races hosted by Main Street Gardens and East Fork Gallery. The Main Street Fall Festival combines all of these along with music, activities, demonstrations, and vendors at Heritage Park. The festival is a free community-driven event celebrating the region’s traditions and history as well as showcasing the continued talents, creativity, and diversity of its residents. Come join us for activities, demonstrations & performances on the pavilion, arts & crafts, community organizations, and businesses.

About the application

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the Main Street Gardnerville Annual Coffin Races & Fall Festival. Many in the Carson Valley and surrounding areas look forward to this event every year. Without volunteers like you, this event wouldn't be possible. Below is a list of available jobs, duties, and responsibilities:

Terms & Conditions

Event Indemnification and Release of Liability: The undersigned, in consideration of participation in any event held by Main Street Gardnerville, releases and forever discharges the Town, Main Street Gardnerville, its officers, agents, employees and representatives, and their respective heirs, successors and assigns, from any and all actions, causes of action, suits, proceedings, debts, dues, contracts, judgments, damages, claims, and/or demands whatsoever in law or equity that the undersigned, its successors or assigns, ever had, now have, or may have in the future in connection with the undersigned’s participation in any event held by Main Street Gardnerville. The undersigned further agrees to hold and save the Town, Main Street Gardnerville, its officers, agents, employees, volunteers and others working on behalf of the Main Street Gardnerville Program Corporation and their respective heirs, successors and assigns harmless from any claims by any others, including costs and expenses, for or on any account of any and all lawsuits or claims of any character whatsoever arising directly out of or from the undersigned’s participation in any event, including any claim for property damage and/or personal injury, including death. The foregoing release and indemnity shall apply regardless of any negligence or strict liability of the Town and Main Street Gardnerville except to the extent the loss is caused by the gross negligence or willful misconduct of the Town and/or Main Street Gardnerville. If the participation of the undersigned in an event involves a vehicle operated by the undersigned, the vehicle used in participation, in any event, shall be properly and adequately insured at all times during such participation.

message Volunteers will check in Event vendors, ensure they have paid the booth registration fee, and cleared the vendor requirements set by MSG. Additionally, volunteers will assist with the Vendor Check-in process and will direct vendors to their assigned spaces. Please note: While this shift is scheduled to end at 8:30 am, there is a very good chance that the shift will end sooner.
